Tv shows:

Dynasty: When I heard that Elizabeth Gillies was going to star in a new Tv Show I was so excited as I loved her in Victorious! I watched the first episode and I never wanted it to stop- I binge watched the first 3 episodes which were all amazing and I love Elizabeth Gillie’s character Fallon πŸ™‚

The Crown Season 2: My mum and I watched Season 1 of the Crown over summer and are big fans of historical dramas such as Downtown Abbey and Victoria so when we found out they were doing a season 2 we were very excited πŸ™‚ Season 2 focuses more on the relationship between Queen Elizabeth and Philip whilst Philip goes away for a few months on official business.

Stranger Things Season 2: Stranger things Season 1 was one of my favourite shows so I think I speak for lots of people when I say that I was estatic that they decided to do a Season 2! I loved the new characters and I have to say…I think I actually preferred Season 2 to Season 1!

Books:

The Unexpected Everything: I read this book whilst I was in Copenhagen and I loved it! The story follows Andie after a scandel rocks her family she must learn to accept the unexpected and go with the flow as her life is going to change dramatically.

Dot creates ultimate blog planner: Throughout the month of December I have been uploading a blog post a day which involves a lot of planning, to help with the planning I used the Dot Creates Ultimate Blog Planner which was so useful! Simply Complicated- The Demi Lovato Documentary: I have been a fan of Demi Lovato ever since Camp Rock and have so much respect for the journey she has been on so it was so nice to see how far she has come in her recovery and the process of her making her new music πŸ™‚

November Favourites 2017

November Favourites 2017

Make-Up:

SophDoesNails Eyeshadow Palette- I actually heard about this palette from Sophie Foster because I follow her social media and she posted a photo using this palette πŸ™‚ I then did some research and thought it looked absolutely gorgeous and was only Β£10 so I figured that I would treat myself πŸ™‚ I AM SO HAPPY I DID! This has become my go to eyeshdow palette for the last 3 months and I can’t imagine a time when it won’t be ❀ The pigment is fantastic and the colours are exquisite πŸ™‚

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara- I have used quite a few Tanya Burr products so when I saw this range I was very excited as I have wanted her to make a mascara for ages and she finally did πŸ™‚ This Mascara is very buildable and is AMAZING when used on the bottom lashes πŸ™‚ I usually use this mascara alongside the Kat Von D eyeliner and SophDoesNails palette and I am so happy with the result πŸ™‚

Tv Shows:

Crazy Ex Girlfriend- I am a big fan of Musicals so when my flatmate Chiara recommended this show and mentioned that it had music in it I was very intrigued- the show is fantastic πŸ™‚ The music is hilarious and the show definitely doesn’t take itself too seriously, the show follows Rebecca Bunch as she moves from a very good job in New York City to follow her ex boyfriend Josh Chan to the city of West Covina and gets brand new friends and a new career πŸ™‚Β

One Tree Hill- I have heard so much about this show especially from Youtubers Lucy and Lydia and had heard it was quite similar to Gossip Girl and Gilmore Girls and has Chad Michael Murray from A Cinderella Story in it so whilst looking for a new show to watch this one came onto my radar so I decided to watch the first episode to see what I thought one night- I was hooked! I binge watched the entire first season within a few days πŸ™‚

Films:

How The Grinch Stole Christmas: I would like to say that I was patient enough to wait until December 1st to watch this movie but I caved and watched it on November 1st – this is such a feel good movie and is a great way to start getting into the Christmas spirit which is why this was the first Christmas movie I watched this year πŸ™‚Β  It is such a quoteable movie for example: “Am I just eating because I’m bored?” and “I guess I could use a little social interaction”.

Music:

Tell Me You Love Me- Demi Lovato: This album came out in September but I really started listening to it loads in November especially on my walk to uni because Demi announced she would be doing a tour and might come to Europe!!!!! I love all of Demis music and I feel like her music has matured along with me and this album is definitely one of her best πŸ™‚ I especially love Sorry Not Sorry and You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore ❀

July+ August Favourites

July+ August Favourites

Tv Shows:

Love Island- In the month of June and July if you lived in the UK you could not escape this show- at first I tried to resist the hype but eventually I gave in. My mum and brother would watch this show every night so then about a week in I decided to sit down and watch it with them and from that night on I was hooked. My whole family would watch this show religiously every night for the eight weeks it was on apart from when we were on holiday. I don’t know what it is about this show but it seems like everyone who watched it would get addicted- the show centres around a group of singles who go into a villa to try and find love but the path to love is never easy.

Ravens Home- When I was younger I would watch That’s So Raven on repeat so when I heard that Raven was coming back to Disney channel I was so excited!! I watched the premiere on the 21st of July and I absolutely loved it!! It was hilarious and heart warming and exactly what I hoped it would be- the theme song gave me all the feels and her kids are adorable πŸ™‚Β
Books:

Wilde Like Me- Louise Pentland: This book follows Robin Wilde- a single mother and make-up artist as she tried to navigate single motherdom and a general feeling of loneliness despite having her loving daughter Lyla and wonderful friends. If you have watched Louise Pentland’s storytime series this book is like a very long storytime of funny and emotional stories and I read it in a couple of hours whilst chilling in the cabana because I couldn’t put it down.

Moxie- Jennifer Mathieu: As many of you know I am a big Zoella fan and love her Zoella Book Clubs πŸ™‚ This book was part of the 2017 Zoella Summer Book Club and I absolutely loved it πŸ™‚ The book follows Vivian who is tired of following the rules and casual sexism she experiences in her day to day life so she finally decides to do something about it and creates a feminist Zine which takes on a mind of its own and creates a feminist revolution in Vivian’s hometown.

The Problem with Forever- Jennifer L. Armentrout: I heard about this book from a Kalyn Nicholson video and from a few other people so whilst on holiday I decided to read it- I read it whilst floating around the pool on a floatie and it was soooo good!! I loved the relationship between Mallory and Rider πŸ™‚

Movies:

Rise of the guardians- I had been looking for a new movie to watch for a while so when my friend Su-Yen suggested Rise of the Guardians and showed me the trailer I was intrigued. The film follows the guardians Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The ToothFairy and The Sandman. When the guardians are threatened by Pitch Black a new guardian is elected- Jack Frost. The film is funny, emotional and I absolutely loved it- I have since watched this movie quite a few times and loved it even more each time.

Descendants 2- Ever since the first Descendants film I have been so excited for the sequel and this film certainly didn’t disappoint!! I absolutely loved this movie- it was funny, emotional and I had the songs in my head for days after watching the film!! I thought that the isle was such an amazing idea and seeing the VK’s going back to their home turf was so cool- I think the addition of Uma as the villain really took it to the next level and China Anne McClain plays her soooo well! I had what’s my name in my head for ages and have watched the music video so many times.
Other:

Floaties- For the last few summers I have seen an increasing number of floaties on Instagram so I was very excited when my mum bought me a Unicorn Floatie for my birthday! We also bought my dad a Pizza floatie and my brother a donut floatie so when we went to Mexico we decided to take all of the floaties along so that we could use them in the pool of the hotel πŸ™‚ The looked so cool and were so much fun to just float around on whilst reading my kindle ❀

June Favourites 2017

June Favourites 2017

This month I have been working on my university project about how dog age affects dog social interactions in public parks so haven’t had a lot of time to come across lots of favourites however whilst writing my project I listened to a lot of music! A lot of my favourite artists have come out with new music recently so it was perfect timing ❀ Β I’m so sorry if you’re not a music lover because this post is gonna be jam packed with new music.

Books:

Leave your mark- I first heard about this book in a Kalyn Nicholson video and was instantly intrigued so downloaded it onto my kindle. It then popped up in a few other youtube videos I was watching so I decided to actually sit down and read it. This book was written by Aliza Licht who is a global fashion communications executive and is absolutely amazing πŸ™‚ It left me feeling completely inspired and wanting to go clothes shopping! Like the tagline says it will help you land your dream job, Β kill it in your career and rock social media.

Music:

Shawn Mendes- Illuminate: On June 2nd I went to a Shawn Mendes concert at the O2 with one of my friends and I was so impressed by his stage presence and loved all of the songs so when I got home I decided that I needed to relisten to his album and I loved it πŸ™‚ It has now been playing in the background pretty much every morning ❀

Liam Payne- Strip that down: As a massive One Direction fan I was very excited to see what the boys would do with their solo music and I was certainly not disappointed ❀ I think this might be my favourite solo song- Don’t Hate Me- because whenever I listen to it I have to get up and dance especially when the chorus kicks in πŸ™‚

Selena Gomez- Bad Liar: When I heard that Selena was bringing out new music I was so excited because I am such a big fan of hers and was meant to go and see her in concert last year before she cancelled 😦 I love this song and can’t help dancing around my room when I hear it πŸ™‚ The music video is also pretty epic!

Demi Lovato- No Promises: Demi Lovato is someone who is such a massive inspiration to me- she’s vocal about the issues she’s been through in the past, her music is AMAZING and she’s gorgeous so I have been waiting for new music from her for ages! This song is sooo good and even my parents love it!

Hailee Steinfeld- Most Girls: Hailee Steinfeld’s music always makes me feel so inspired after I listen to it and like I can take on the world which is especially true for this song πŸ™‚ The music video is epic with Hailee looking beautiful as always and I love the message of this song πŸ™‚

Random:

Colour Rush: For around 2 years I have wanted to do a colour run because they always look so cool! My friend Hannah messaged me a while back and asked if I wanted to do The Colour Obstacle Rush with her and I immediately said yes πŸ™‚ The event was awesome and we took sooo many pictures πŸ™‚ It was a 5k run with obstacles and colour stations and we had an absolute blast even if we felt very sore in the morning!

The book is told from both narratives and from different points in each twins life all coming together- can the twins find their way back to each other?

I have done three online shops since then and bought two notebooks, two rings, two bracelets, a phone case and a laptop case….. my bank account was not impressed! The jewellery is gorgeous and adjustable, the cases are epic and the notebooks are sooo cute!img_5646

DIY Unicorn Frappuccinos- Starbucks are always coming up with amazing new drink ideas and when I heard about the Unicorn Frappuccino I was instantly excited but unfortunately they were not available in the UK so my friend Hannah and I decided to DIY one for ourselves.

April FavsΒ 2017 <3

Movies:

Beauty and the Beast 2017- As soon as I heard that Disney were making a remake of this classic I was sooo excited and then I read the cast list, saw the first few trailers each thing making me more excited than the last until finally it was out!! The original Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney movies as Belle is the Disney princess I relate to the most πŸ™‚ This remake definitely did not disappoint and I went to see it a total of 3 times in cinemas!!

March 2017 favsΒ <3

Musical:

On your feet- Whilst I was in New York I had the pleasure of seeing this musical on Broadway and I absolutely loved it πŸ™‚ Everything was amazing- from the costumes to the music, from the acting to the scenery it all blew me away πŸ™‚ This musical follows the story of the fantastic Gloria Estefan who was part of the Miami Sound Machine and who sung songs such as: Conga, Dr Beat and many more.

Book:

All About Mia- This book was one I read whilst on the plane on my way back from New York and I did not put it down until we landed. It is a book about three sisters: Mia- the wild one, Grace- the straight A student  and Audrey- the future Olympic swimmer.

13 reasons why- I heard about the Netflix series because of Selena Gomez being an executive producer so I decided to read the book in preparation because the trailer was so gripping! I certainly wasn’t disappointed with the book and did not put the book down until I had read the entire thing and was very emotional!! The book follows Clay Jenson after he finds a series of tapes outside his door which were recorded by Hannah Baker- a girl he had a crush on who committed suicide prior to the start of the book. The tapes describe the 13 reasons why she did what she did and each person who receives the tapes is one of the reasons.

Before I fall- This book has been on my Kindle for a while now so when I found out it was going to be a movie I thought now would be the perfect time to read it πŸ™‚ I read it within a couple of hours and absolutely loved it!!! The book follows Samantha Kingston as she gets stuck in a time loop as she relives her last day 7 times…. will she be able to change the ending?

Movies:

Sing- When I was in New York I saw so many adverts for this film that I decided to watch it when I got home and I’m so glad I did!! The music is amazing, the storyline and characters are hilarious and it has such a nice message πŸ™‚ The film follows Buster Moon who decides to put on a talent show to try and save his theatre and the 5 animals who decide to perform in the show πŸ™‚

Tv show:

Broadchurch- So many people told me to watch this show so when I heard season 3 was coming out I decided to take 2 days and binge watch the first two seasons and I was hooked!! I didn’t want to finish the first two seasons because then I wouldn’t have any more episodes to watch 😦 The series follows DI Alex Hardy and DS Ellie Miller as they investigate the murder of a young boy in the first season, the murder of two teenage girls in the second season and the rape of a woman in the third season ❀

February 2017 Favourites <3

February 2017 Favourites <3

Movies:

The Maze Runner- I personally have never read The Maze Runner book series however I am a big fan of Harry Potter, Divergent and the Hunger Games so despite not knowing an awful lot about the story I decided to watch the first Maze Runner movie as I had heard good things about it πŸ™‚ I thoroughly enjoyed it and it filled the teenage action movie hole in my heart left by those other series πŸ™‚ The story follows Thomas,  who awakens with no memory of who he is, only to learn he’s been delivered to the middle of an maze, along with a number of other boys, who have been trying to find their way out of the ever-changing labyrinth.

Almost Adults- As soon as I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I wanted to see it as it has the actresses from Carmilla in it! The film focuses on Cassie and Mackenzie and the strain on their friendship that occurs when one deals with her newfound sexuality and the other with breaking up with her long term boyfriend. The two girls are absolute goals and the film had me shouting at my computer many times either in frustration or happiness πŸ™‚

Tv Shows:

Gilmore Girls- I heard a lot of people raving about the revival of Gilmore Girls and telling me to watch it however I had never watched the original series so decided one day to watch the first episode of the original and see if I enjoyed it- I WAS HOOKED!! I was watching it every spare second I had which probably wasn’t the best thing for my grades but I didn’t care! Some days I would binge-watch up to 10 episodes which is a ridiculous amount of episodes to watch I’m aware but I couldn’t help it πŸ™‚ The show follows Lorelai Gilmore who had her daughter Rory Gilmore when she was just 16! The show follows the family relationships of the Gilmore girls and also the friendships and romantic relationships of all the people of their little town of Stars Hollow πŸ™‚ I was a Lorelai and Luke shipper and my favourite relationship of Rory’s was Logan although the relationship which really flourishes in the show if the mother-daughter relationship of Rory and Lorelai which I found refreshing πŸ™‚

Youtubers:

Lucy Moon- My friend sent me a video of Lucy’s a while back and it really stuck with me so I decided to check out her channel and some of her other/older videos and I am happy to say that all of her videos had this effect on me πŸ™‚ After watching a Lucy Moon video I am always inspired and asking myself who I want to be and what I can do to improve my life πŸ™‚ Lucy does videos about: Feminism, self-love and music with a few vlog’s as well πŸ™‚

Books:

Holding Up The Universe- This has been in my recommended list on my Kindle since it came out so when I was looking for new books this one immediately stood out πŸ™‚ I read it within about two days in-between binge watching Gilmore girls :p This book focuses on two people: Libby who was once dubbed “the worlds fattest teen” and feels that no-one has ever looked past her weight to find out who she really is and Jack who has Prosopagnosia (the inability to recognise faces) so tries not to get close to people because although he can rebuild anything he doesn’t understand the inner workings of his brain.

Music:

LaLaLand Soundtrack- After watching the movie a few weeks ago I just couldn’t get the songs out of my head so listened to the soundtrack on my way to uni and fell in love! Emma stone and Ryan Gosling have gorgeous voices which fit the songs perfectly and the soundtrack always makes me feel uplifted and happy whenever I listen to it πŸ™‚ I think my favourites are: City of Stars, A Lovely Night and Someone in the Crowd.

Tv Shows:

New Girl: I first started watching New Girl because of a recommendation by Sophie Foster and I’m so glad I did!! This show follows Jess (Zooey Deschanel) as she moves into a loft with three guys Nick, Schmidt and Winston. The show made me laugh so much and is the perfect pick me up show πŸ™‚

Royal Crush: Hannah sent me a link to Season 4 of this Youtube Red series and when she found out I hadn’t watched any of the other series was very offended and demanded I watch them immediately :p After binge watching all four seasons in one night I’m so glad she recommended it to me πŸ™‚ This show follows the ups and downs of the relationship between Desi (Meg DeAngelis) and Sebastian (Alex Aiono)

The Series of Unfortunate Events: I read the books of this series in High School and absolutely loved them (although I did get a bit bored by the 13th book ngl). I was very disappointed with the film of this series so when I heard about the Netflix show I was very excited πŸ™‚ The first two episodes were average but once I got into it and got emotionally invested in the characters I thoroughly enjoyed it and binge watched the other episodes in a day ❀

Books:

A Midsummers Nightmare: One of my New Years Resolutions was to read more so I borrowed this book from a friend thinking I would read it within a few days-weeks and give it back to her…… I startedΒ it on New Years night and did not put it down until I finished it at 4am the next day πŸ™‚ The book focuses onΒ Whitley Johnson as her summer with her dad turns into a nightmare. She meets his new fiancΓ©e and her kids and it turns out that the fiancee’s son is her one night stand from graduation night…….

Youtubers:

Music:

Castle on the Hill- Ed Sheeran: When I heard that Ed Sheeran was releasing two singles on the 6th of January I was so excited but also apprehensive because I loved the first two albums so much πŸ™‚ Even though I love Shape of You, Castle on the Hill was my favourite because I love the lyrics πŸ™‚

Glory days- Little Mix: I received this album from my parents for Christmas and put it onto my Ipod so that I could listen to it on my commute to uni and OMG! I would list my favourites but I love the entire album………

Movies:

Summer Forever: I watched this movie for the first time last year and rediscovered it this month πŸ™‚ The music is amazing as is the acting πŸ™‚ This film follows three best friends who create a bucket list of things to complete before going to college to try and make the last few days of summer memorable πŸ™‚

Life Partners: This film is a comedy about two co-dependent friends Paige and Sasha and how they navigate their friendship when Paige gets into a relationship πŸ™‚ This film was amazing because the main focus of the film was friendship which is a nice change from all the Romance movies I watch ❀
