Decorating for Halloween 2021 :)

Decorating for Halloween 2021 :)

My family always makes fun of me because I am such a big Halloween fan who decorates their room with pumpkins and watches non-scary Halloween movies throughout September and October and drinks Pumpkin Spice Lattes as soon as I can πŸ™‚ Since last year I feel like I have stepped up my Halloween decorating- I have added some more Harry Potter bits, some more Nightmare Before Christmas bits, lots of candles and some more other bits as well πŸ™‚ I haven’t actually bought that much stuff for Halloween this year as I already had quite a few bits already and am trying to save some money but I did get a few little bits πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments how you decorate for Halloween πŸ™‚

Pumpkin Carving :)

Pumpkin Carving :)

Every year since I was little I have carved a pumpkin for Halloween πŸ™‚ When I was younger I used to carve pumpkins with my older brothers and then I started doing it alone and then last year my friend Barghavi came round for a Halloween themed weekend and we carved pumpkins and watched Halloween movies and then did sparklers as well πŸ™‚ The last few years I have been carving Disney themed pumpkins which has been so much fun! I have carved Jack the Pumpkin King, Sally, The Oogie Boogie Man and Zero all from The nightmare before Christmas πŸ™‚ This year I’m planning to carve Stitch into my pumpkin πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments what pumpkin designs you have carved ❀

6 Halloween themed movies I’ll be watching this year :)

6 Halloween themed movies I’ll be watching this year :)

I have become such a lover of Halloween over the last few years and one of the main things that I love to do is watching Halloween themed movies πŸ™‚ I wrote a blog post a few years ago about some of my favourite Halloween movies that are my must watches during the spooky season but this year I have added a few more to the list πŸ™‚ Some of them are actual Halloween movies and some have a great Halloween scene or have a definite spooky vibe/great villain πŸ™‚ I hate Horror movies so all of the Halloween movies I have picked in both of the lists I don’t think are too scary πŸ™‚

  1. Halloweentown- I watched Halloweentown many many years ago but haven’t watched it since but I came across it on Disney + the other day and it triggered a long forgotten memory so I have been wanting to watch it ever since πŸ™‚ Screenshot 2020-10-21 at 16.20.28
  2. Beetlejuice- I have actually never seen Beetlejuice the film however I have listened to the soundtrack of the musical and I absolutely love it so thought I would finally watch the movie πŸ™‚ img_9200
  3. Coco- Coco takes place on The Day of the Dead which this year is the 2nd of November and is a Mexican celebration where people gather to pray for and remember the people in their lives who have passed away but just be warned this movie will definitely make you cry!! Screenshot 2020-10-21 at 16.21.19
  4. The Haunted Mansion- This is another film on this list that I have never seen but I have heard so many people talk about and I had no idea that Madame Leota was from this film! I found it on Disney + the other day in their Halloween collection and I am actually really excited to finally watch it πŸ™‚ Screenshot 2020-10-21 at 16.20.58
  5. Mean Girls- I realise that this definitely isn’t a Halloween movie however it does have some of the best quotes about Halloween and one of my favourite Halloween scenes with Cady dressed as an ex wife which is truly iconic! Screenshot 2020-10-21 at 16.28.47
  6. Harry Potter- I always love watching the Harry Potter series around this time of year as especially the first few films have such a cosy vibe to me and I absolutely love the scene of the great hall covered in Pumpkins for the Halloween feast πŸ™‚

Kew Gardens 2020 :)

Kew Gardens 2020 :)

On the 10th of October Hannah and I headed to Kew Gardens which was so epic! We took so many amazing photos, walked over 20,000 steps and I absolutely loved it πŸ™‚ It was great for during this time because most of the things are outside and they had some autumnal trees and the greenhouses were really warm which was nice as it is starting to get colder πŸ™‚ You had to wear masks inside the greenhouses and when ordering your food but apart from that everything else was outside and we were able to just walk around and take photos πŸ™‚ I like that it was organised into different countries which made it really cool and I took three different jumpers so that I could get some different photos πŸ™‚ I think my favourite parts were: the greenhouses, the autumnal trees and the Queens garden πŸ™‚

Thank you so much Hannah for keeping me company and taking the photos πŸ™‚ Be sure to check out Hannahs blog here πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments which of these photos are your favourites and which jumper was your favourite πŸ™‚

Belgravia and Kensington 2020 :)

Belgravia and Kensington 2020 :)

On the 28th of September I met Hannah at Victoria for a lovely photoshoot day in Belgravia and Kensington πŸ™‚ I managed to get a few Autumnal photos which was really nice and a few photos to finish off the summer vibe πŸ™‚ We took a change of clothes so we could take a few more photos in the one day and stopped off at Elan Cafe to change and have some lunch which was so nice πŸ™‚ We started of at Victoria and walked along towards Peggy Porshen through Belgravia and found a few spots to take some photos πŸ™‚

After our photoshoot in Belgravia we walked along towards Elan Cafe near to Kensington. I love Elan Cafe as it is so photogenic and pink! The food was really good as well πŸ™‚ I have been to Elan Cafe once before but I went to the one near Oxford Street last time so it had a different vibe to this one- this one had a sweet theme which I loved wheras the one I went to in Oxford street had a more flowery vibe πŸ™‚

After Lunch we then headed towards Kensington where Hannah had picked out a few different places to take photos and I was so excited as I had bought this dress from Primark a while ago and I had been looking for an opportunity to take photos in it as I had an idea of taking a Folklore inspired photo in this dress as it really gave me that vibe πŸ™‚

It was such a nice day and I had so much fun thank you so much Hannah for keeping me company and for taking the photos πŸ™‚ Be sure to check out Hannahs blog here πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments whether you prefer my dress or the Harry Potter jumper and Jeans πŸ™‚ and where your favourite place is to take Autumnal photos πŸ™‚

Decorating for Halloween 2020 :)

I am such a big Halloween fan: I watch non-scary Halloween movies throughout September and October, always carve a pumpkin, decorate my room with pumpkins and autumnal bits, drink hot chocolate non-stop and love the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (I know I’m basic :p). This year I have stepped my decorating up a notch and have added some Harry Potter bits to my room as Harry Potter always have a Halloween feel to me, put back up my few Halloween bits and have purchased quite a few Halloween bits as well πŸ™‚ I thought I would show you guys the few bits I have added to my room to make it a bit more Autumnal and Halloweenie πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you are someone who decorates for Halloween and absolutely loves the autumnal season or if you’re someone who always skips straight to Christmas πŸ™‚

Halloween Playlist Part 3: Disney Villain Songs :)

Halloween Playlist Part 3: Disney Villain Songs :)

One of the ways that I love to get into the spirit of a holiday is to listen to music related to it so a few years ago I wrote a blog post about some of the songs I listen to during the Halloween season and then I wrote another one last year as well πŸ™‚ At Disney they celebrate Halloween by showcasing the Disney villains which I thought was a really cool idea so I thought that for my third Halloween playlist I would list some of my favourite Disney villain songs πŸ™‚ (I know technically Anastasia isn’t technically Disney but since Anastasia is Fox and Disney have since acquired Fox studios I thought I would count it)

  1. Hellfire- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
  2. Be Prepared- The Lion King
  3. Poor Unfortunate Souls- Little Mermaid
  4. Mother Knows Best- Tangled
  5. Friends on the other side- The Princess and the Frog
  6. Shiny- Moana
  7. Oogie Boogie Song- The Nightmare Before Christmas
  8. Prince Ali (reprise)- Aladdin
  9. In the dark of the night- Anastasia
  10. Cruella De Vil- 101 Dalmations
