September Favourites 2022 :)

This month has been a bit all over the place as I have been travelling for some of it and also I have been really busy with work so I don’t have too many favourites for this month but there are a few that I have on my list 🙂

Fate Season 2: I absolutely LOVED the first season of this show when it was released last year so I have been waiting for this second season since then and it was so worth the wait!!! I absolutely loved the addition of Flora to this season and this is the perfect start to my spooky Halloween watching 🙂

She-Hulk- I have been a big Tatiana Maslany fan since watching Orphan Black so when I found out that she was joining the MCU I was very excited and during the show I have absolutely loved it 🙂 I really enjoy the little asides to the camera and also am very excited to see what happens if/when DareDevil makes an appearance!

Carrie Soto is Back by TJR- I was already a big Taylor Jenkins Reid fan so was eagerly awaiting the arrival of this book but when it actually arrived it was so much better than I thought! The moment I shut the book I wanted to start it again from the beginning and I have written more about it in my recent post about the fifth part of my goodreads challenge 🙂

Married at First Sight- I recently started watching Married at First Sight with my family as we were scrolling through trying to find a show to watch all together and we thought this show would be a good pick as it would be easy watching however we absolutely loved it and I’m hooked! Its so interesting seeing how all of the different couples interact with each other and also watching them learn to compromise and find out about this stranger that they married! I would highly recommend for any fans of reality TV 🙂

March-June Favourites 2022 :)

I have quite a few favourites to include in this post because its been a while since I’ve done a post like this so without further ado lets get into it 🙂

• Heartstopper: I actually didn’t watch this show for a little while after it had come out just because I haven’t read the books so I didn’t really know what it was about but I kept seeing different edits and posts about the show so thought I would give it a go and it is honestly SUCH a cute show!! Nick and Charlie together are so cute and Nicks dog is so cute ( I love a collie). It is just a very sweet coming of age show and I loved it 🙂

• How I Met your Father: I think I can speak for most people when I say that the ending of How I Met Your Mother was lacking however I absolutely loved the rest of the show so when I saw this on Disney+ I was very intrigued especially when I saw that the main character was played by Hilary Duff! I actually ended up binge-watching this show in a day and it was so so good!! It kept a lot of the comedy and all of the things I loved about the original series but also added a little something extra 🙂

1. There are two shows that have both released new series in the last few months that I have absolutely loved and they are: Umbrella Academy S3 and Stranger Things S4!! They were both AMAZING so if you are a fan of either of those shows I would highly recommend!!

• The Viscount who loved me: I have already spoken about this in a different post but I absolutely LOVED this book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loved the second series of Bridgeton.

• With this Kiss by Carrie Hope Fletcher: This is another book that I have already spoken about but I feel like it deserves a second mention because it was so so good!!

• MoonKnight: As many of you will already know I am a big Marvel fan but it took me absolutely AGES to get into this show just because I wasn’t really sure it would be my kind of thing but OMG I absolutely LOVED IT!! I would say it is up there with one of my favourite Marvel shows and Oscar Isaac is absolutely PHENOMENAL in it!!

• The World will remember us from Bonnie and Clyde: I have actually yet to see the show Bonnie and Clyde but I really hope I get the chance to at some point but they came on to perform a short set a West End Live and it was incredible!! This was one of the songs that they sung and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since!!

February Favourites 2022 😊

Only murders in the building: This is a Disney+ original series starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short and it was so funny and clever!! I am a big Selena Gomez fan and I’m also a fan of murder mysteries but I loved that this show is also a comedy as some murder mysteries can be quite serious. The idea behind the show is that the three main characters are big fans of true crime podcasts and when a murder occurs in their building they decide to investigate and start their own podcast 😂

Oeuf Cafe in Hove- On Mayas birthday we decided to take her to Brighton beach for the day because she absolutely loves the beach!! One of my mums friends recommended this cafe because it’s right by the Hove beach huts and it’s extremely dog friendly and we could even take Maya inside! The food was lovely and they have a special breakfast called frumpets which were a cross between French toast and a crumpet 😊

The Joker and the by Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift: I am a big Ed Sheeran fan and also a massive Taylor Swift so I LOVE whenever they do a collaboration ☺️ I really liked the music video for this song and I loved that it continued on from the music video for Everything has changed.

One of us is lying- This was a show that arrived on Netflix near the start of the month and I really enjoyed it! I remember reading the book while in high school I think and I really enjoyed it I think because as mentioned earlier I really enjoy a murder mystery and this book is different from most 🙂 the book has become pretty popular on Booktok recently so that also made me really excited for the show.

Love is Blind Season 2- I watched the first season of Love is Blind with my mum during one of the lockdowns and absolutely loved it so was really intrigued to see what season 2 would bring and it was so good!! I LOVED Deepti, Iyanna and Natalie I think they seemed so sweet, Shake annoyed me so much and I still don’t know how I feel about Danielle and…….

Recent Favourites :)

Its been a while since I’ve written a favourites post but I thought I would write down some of my favourites since June!! Its taken me a while to get round to writing this post because in June I went back to work which has been super busy but without further ado lets get into it 🙂

1. Black Widow- I absolutely LOVED this movie!!! I am a big Marvel fan but also I love that Marvel are finally giving this character her own movie and paving the way for female superheroes! Natasha and Yelena were absolutely amazing and hilarious while trying to navigate their sisterhood and it was so interesting hearing about their background and their childhood.

Ghosted my therapist by Rachel Bochner- I actually found this song on TikTok a long time ago and completely forgot about it until about 2 months ago it came up on my FYP again and I LOVED IT! It got stuck in my head for weeks and I have only just got it out! Its so catchy and funny and very smart 🙂

Prattle and Pages Podcast by Carrie Hope Fletcher- I am a big fan of Carrie Hope Fletcher and recently she started a Bookstagram which I obviously followed because as most of you will know I also love books! About 2 weeks ago Carrie started a podcast with the same name Prattles and Pages where she will rate the books she reads and just chat about them which is such a cool concept 🙂 The first book she reviewed was Daisy Jones and the Six which I actually read recently and her analysis was spot on and I can’t wait to hear her opinions on even more books 🙂

Joanie clothing- This was another thing that I have discovered through Carrie Hope Fletcher that I had to mention because I was absolutely AMAZED! I ordered 2 jumpsuits and 2 dresses and I absolutely LOVE them 🙂 The jumpsuits actually fit me which is astonishing as I am only 5’3 so usually jumpsuits swamp me and the dresses were both gorgeous 🙂 The sizing is absolutely on point and they feel so comfortable 🙂

The last thing on my favourites list is the book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which I’m not going to talk that much about because I have already talked about it in my reading challenge post but I wanted to mention it here because it was such a good book and one of the best I’ve read this year 🙂

There have been a few TV shows that have come out with new seasons including: Sex Education and Brooklyn 99 which I have also loved to special mention to them as well 🙂 There have also been a few musical films out recently including In the Heights and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie which were both phenomenal 🙂

May Favourites 2021 :)

Lucy + Yak- When I saw my friend Ellie a few weeks ago she was wearing a pair of Lucy and Yak dungarees and I absolutely loved the look of them so I went onto their website to have a look at what they sold, I was hooked! I ordered three different things from their website that day and then when my Mum and I went to Brighton at the end of April I went into their shop in the lanes to have a look and bought another couple of bits 🙂 I absolutely love their style and the different colours of their clothes and also that they are a sustainable and ethical brand which I love 🙂

Shadow + Bone- If you have been on TikTok in the past few weeks you will no doubt have seen videos relating to Shadow and Bone and its also Number 7 in TV programmes on UK Netflix at the moment 🙂 I have never read the books but after watching the series I really want to! I absolutely love Alina as a character and there are so many interesting characters and its such a cool concept 🙂

Line of Duty- I have been watching Line of Duty with my parents over the past few weeks and its absolutely AMAZING- I am currently on Season 5 and its been so so good so far 🙂 I think my favourite seasons have been Season 1 and Season 3 and I can’t wait to see what Season 6 brings 🙂 I think my favourite characters are Steve Arnott and Kate Fleming and definitely my favourite episode was the last episode of Season 3 🙂

April Favourites 2021 :)

This month has been really filled with doing lots of GYSTing, shopping and also listening to a lot of music so this monthly favourites is mainly music I have been loving with a few other bits thrown in as well 🙂

I’m not pretty- Jessia: It was actually my friend Hannah who sent me this song and I love it so much and have been listening to it non-stop! 🙂 I will definitely be checking out more of her music when I get the chance 🙂

Deja Vu- Olivia Rodrigo: I absolutely loved Olivias first release Drivers Licence and she has absolutely smashed it out of the park with her follow up song Deja Vu 🙂 I’m so so excited for her album to be released and I would highly recommend her music to any Taylor Swift fans! The video is also so clever 🙂

Dancing with the devil- Demi Lovato: As many of you will know from previous posts I am a big Demi Lovato fan so have been listening to her new album on repeat 🙂 I love this album as it is so raw and might be one of my favourite albums of hers! I actually have a post coming out in the next few weeks about some of my favourite songs and lyrics from this new album so be sure to keep an eye out for that 🙂

Fearless (Taylors version)- Taylor Swift: I am also a big Taylor Swift fan so am so excited for all of her re-released albums especially if this one is anything to go by!! I love the songs From the Vault and also hearing how her voice has matured 🙂 I wrote a post a few weeks ago about some of my favourite songs from this re-released album and also some of my favourite lyrics 🙂

Lazy Baby- Dove Cameron: I have loved Dove Cameron since she was on Liv and Maddie and have followed her music career since then-I love her music and this one of no different 🙂 I’m so excited for when she finally releases an album or EP 🙂

The Circle: I actually didn’t watch the first season of the Circle and still haven’t however I really started to get into the show during the second season and also watched the Circle USA Season 1 which was sooo good so when this season started I actually didn’t start the show until about a week in because I didn’t know it was back but then I was hooked!! I think my favourite people were Nana Dot (Scott Paige) and Syed (Hashu)

Chocolate Little Moons- My friend Barghavi actually introduced me to these a few weeks ago as she came round with boxes of Mango, Chocolate and Matcha Little Moons that she had bought for us to try 🙂 THEY WERE SO NICE!! I liked the Mango ones but the chocolate ones were AMAZING!

Falcon and the Winter Soldier- I am a big Marvel Nerd and so have been absolutely LOVING this series 🙂 Bucky is one of my favourite Marvel characters and seeing him and Sam interact is so cute! As I’m writing this post I have watched up until Ep 5 of the series and am so excited for the series finale on Friday!! 🙂

March Favourites 2021 :)

• Moxie- I read this book a few years ago while on holiday in Mexico and absolutely LOVED it!! It was one of my favourite books and I still think about it to this day 🙂 When they announced that they were making this into a movie I was so so excited and it did not disappoint 🙂 If you fancy an easy watch feminist movie then this is the perfect movie 🙂 It discusses many important topics in todays society mixed in with some teen drama and feminist manifestos 🙂

• Demi Lovato- Dancing with the Devil- I have been a big Demi Lovato fan since she was on the Disney channel in Camp Rock and Sonny with a chance and have followed her battle with mental health and addiction and have watched her two other documentaries Simply Complicated and Staying Strong so stayed up late to watch the first two part of this documentary and it was amazing and so raw and I’m so happy she seems to be doing better and am so excited for this new chapter of music 🙂

• Wandavision- I am a huge Marvel Nerd and am so excited for this new phase of Disney+ Marvel shows!! Wanda is one of my favourite Marvel characters and her and Vision are my favourite couple in the MCU 🙂 I loved the new characters being introduced especially Agatha and the inclusion of some other characters from the MCU e.g. Darcy and Monica Rambeau 🙂

• Brooklyn 99 Season 7- Brooklyn 99 is one of my FAVOURITE tv show so I was so excited for the new seasons so watched it while it was airing in the US but have rewatched it (in an afternoon….. ooops) since it came onto Netflix and absolutely loved it just as much as when I watched it the first time 🙂

• Raya and the last dragon- THIS IS ONE OF MY NEW FAVOURITE DISNEY MOVIE!!! I loved all of the characters, Raya and Sisu are absolutely amazing and Tuk-Tuk is adorable!! I have been meaning to re-watch it since watching it for the first time on Barghavis birthday at the start of the month and definitely will be at some point in the near future 🙂

• CommonRoomCandleCO- One of my favourite Tiktokers does a segment where she talks about some of her favourite Harry potter themed small businesses and this company came up a few weeks ago and I was so intrigued that I decided to order a few candles as I was running low- the candles smell absolutely AMAZING and when they arrived you could see how much care and love had been put into not just the candles but the packaging of the items as well 🙂 If you are a Harry Potter fan I would highly recommend checking out her website and I believe that she is releasing some Percy Jackson themed candles soon as well 🙂

January Favourites 2021 :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I am so happy to be back after a month long break and have a few posts ready for you guys 🙂 I actually have quite a few favourites this month as the UK is in lockdown so I have been listening to and watching quite a few things 🙂

• Drivers Licence by Olivia Rodrigo: It seemed like at the start of January my entire for you page on TikTok was this song and I was living for it!! I was already a fan of Olivia due to her starring in High School musical The Musical The Series but I am now even more of a fan and can’t wait to hear more of her music when she comes out with it 🙂 If you are a Taylor Swift fan I would highly highly recommend checking this song out 🙂

• Tangled Cruise Musical- Tangled is one of my absolute favourite Disney Movies and I have often thought it would make an amazing musical similar to the Aladdin musical that they did on Broadway so when my dad called me into the living room one day and showed me that he had found the Disney Cruiseline version of Tangled the Musical I was obsessed!! I was sat in awe the entire time and absolutely loved it 🙂

• The Prom- I am such a Musical Theatre nerd and although I have never seen The Prom live when I am really sad about I absolutely loved the movie musical version 🙂 My favourite songs from the show are Alyssa Greene and Tonight Belongs to Us and they were absolutely amazing 🙂 Meryl Streep is always spectacular in any role that she plays and so is Nicole Kidman 🙂 I really hope that The Prom comes over to the UK when theatres reopen and I get to see it 🙂

• Hate Myself- Dodie Clark: I am a big Dodie Clark fan and have already pre-ordered her album and have seen her in concert numerous times so I always love it when she brings out new music 🙂 I actually watched the music video for this song on my dog walk which was really nice and I absolutely loved it 🙂

• Perfect Planet- I am such a big fan of David Attenborough and absolutely love his series whenever he does them 🙂 This series was so so interesting and focused on the main different weather patterns which was so interesting and how the animals have adapted to live with these different weathers 🙂

• Bridgeton + Bridgeton the Musical on TikTok- It seems like everywhere I go on TikTok there are different versions of the Bridgeton musical songs which I absolutely love with either different songs that people have written or covers 🙂 I have currently watched the first four episodes so have 4 more to go! I think my favourite characters are Eloise Bridgeton and Penelope Featherington 🙂

Blogmas Day 2: November Favourites 2020

I don’t have many favourites this year but the few that I do have I absolutely love!! There is a mixture of tv shows and music and a few other bits as well 🙂

1. Bad Cinderella- Carrie Hope Fletcher: I am a big Carrie Hope Fletcher fan and also a massive Disney and musical theatre nerd so anything to do with the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and I am so excited! I am really hoping to be able to go and see it whenever they are allowed to open and if the first two songs from the show are anything to go by I’m going to love it! Carrie actually performed this song on the One Show and I was blown away and immediately ordered the cast album!

2. His Dark Materials Season 2: I absolutely loved the first season of His Dark Materials and have been waiting for Season 2 for what feels like forever and as soon as I found out it was being released I made my mum binge watch the first season of the show with me again so that she was ready for the second season! Although only a few episodes have been released from this new season I am already obsessed again and am so excited to see what the rest of the season brings 🙂

3. KellyPrinceWrights Instagram: I first discovered Kelly on Tik Tok but then started following her on Instagram and her aesthetic is AMAZING! This month she started a project called #KPotterWatch where she watched all of the Harry Potter films and reacted to them alongside anyone else who wanted to watch them with her and I absolutely loved it, I think the stories are still up for anyone who wants to go through and find them and look through the templates that she made as well 🙂

4. Oreo Hot Chocolate: I absolutely love having a hot chocolate at any time of the year but especially when its getting nearer to Christmas I am always cracking out the Christmas mugs and the hot chocolate 🙂 My friend Barghavi has been staying with us for a little while and when she arrived she bought some oreo hot chocolate with her for us to try and OMG IT IS SO GOOD!!! 🙂

October Favourites 2020 :)

1. Not a Pop Song- Little Mix: As pretty much everyone who reads my blog will know I am a big Little Mix fan and have been for quite some time and I am so excited for their next album! I have already preordered it and booked tickets for their tour which I’m really hoping will happen! I have been loving watching Little Mix The Search as well 🙂 This song is one that you can dance around your kitchen to and if this is their vibe for their next album then its going to be amazing 🙂
2. Kalyn Nicholson Youtober- Every year for the last few years Kalyn has done a series on her channel called Youtober where she posts a Halloween/spooky inspired video every day throughout October which is so much fun and gets me in the mood for Halloween 🙂 This year Kalyn has been killing it and I will be so sad when it finishes!
3. Emily in Paris- I am a big fan of Lily Collins and so when I saw this show advertised I knew it was going to be right up my street! Its such easy watching and the scenery shots are incredible and make me want to hop on a train to Paris which is obviously not possible at the moment which makes me really sad 😦 Its a mix between Devil Wears Prada, Sex and the City and Love Rosie I think and i absolutely love it 🙂
4. The house of spells- On Saturday 24th I went to brunch near Chinatown and found this amazing little shop, its a definite nerd heaven and has loads of different Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Marvel stuff 🙂 I spent quite a lot of money there but it was definitely worth it! 
5. Doughnut Time- I absolutely love Doughnut time and Barghi and I happened to walk past it on our way to the bus stop and found that they had Halloween themed doughnuts and also Biscoff doughnuts and you will know that I am a sucker for anything Halloween themed or Biscoff flavoured!
