Winter Wonderland 2016 :)

Winter Wonderland 2016 :)

Winter Wonderland is a London attraction that comes round once a year where you can ice skate, go on huge rollercoasters or just shop in the cute little stalls and eat some of the amazing food. The possibilities are endless and its a great way to get into the Christmas spirit ❤ This year I was lucky enough to go to Winter Wonderland three times!!

The first time I went with some of my old flatmates and we went on the new rollercoaster Munich Rolling which is the worlds largest transportable rollercoaster ❤ We then had a look around some of the different stalls and grabbed some food including some churros with melted chocolate which were sooooooo nice!

The Second time this year I went to Winter Wonderland was with my Mum and we didn’t go on any of the rides but we did have a mammoth shop around all of the little market stalls ❤ I bought a snowflake candle holder, a bauble for my christmas tree and two pieces of jewellery 🙂 We also couldn’t go all the way to Winter Wonderland and not have the churros!!

My friend Hannah and I have a tradition where we go to Winter Wonderland together every year and this year was our third year of going together ❤ This year was slightly different however as we were also joined by our other best friend Anna which was so lovely! The last two years Anna has been unable to come but this year we booked the date way in advance and we had an absolute blast ❤ We did some shopping, went on two of the rides which were so fun! We took some polaroid pictures and some selfies because whats a day out without some selfies :p Finally we went ice skating in the evening which was really cool ❤ I was pleasantly surprised by my ability to ice skate because I thought I would be like Bambi on ice however I managed to stay upright the entire time 🙂

Halloween 2016 :)

Halloween 2016 :)

Last Halloween as some of you may know I really started to get into the spirit of things including watching lots of Halloween movies, listening to Halloween songs and eating lots of Halloween treats 🙂  This year  I feel like I have kicked it up a notch with my Halloween obsession 🙂  I lost count of the amount of Halloween movies I watched this year although I still haven’t watched the Halloweentown series however I did a blog post about my Top 10 🙂

img_1901

To accompany my binge watching of Halloween Movies I decided to make a Halloween Playlist on Spotify which included my favourite Spooky/Halloween songs 🙂 I also made a blog post about my ultimate Halloween playlist ❤ This got me through many an October train journey 🙂

Last year I tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte for the first time and absolutely fell in love so it only felt natural to head straight out and get one on October 1st when I learned they were on sale 🙂 I also picked up a Vanilla cupcake from Lola’s cupcakes which had a skeleton design on it and a devil one and one with a gravestone on it xxx About a week before Halloween Starbucks bought back their Vampire Frappuccio which is AMAZING and tastes of Chocolate and Strawberry ❤

Whilst drinking a Pumpkin Spice Latte walking along Oxford Street it only felt right that I popped into Lush and treated myself as they have a massive store on Oxford Street and their Halloween collection this year is AMAZING!! 🙂 Lush has been one of my favourite shops for about two years now and I especially love lush around Fall time 🙂

I then wandered along to H&M where I found two Halloween Jumpers which I just had to get because they were sooo cute 🙂

On Halloween I spent the day binge watching Halloween  movies whilst wearing my Halloween jumpers and then carved my pumpkin which didn’t come out quite how I’d hoped but I don’t think it turned out too terribly 😬

Overall I had a great Halloween and can’t wait till next year when I can up my Halloween obsession even more 😝 xxx

Let me know in the comments what you did this Halloween and what you dressed up as if you did

Summer 2016 :)

Summer 2016 :)

Summer 2o16 has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, crazy adventures and lazy days at home 🙂 The first crazy day was a day up to London with my bestie Hannah- we went to the Sky Garden grabbing lunch and then took photos by St Pauls Cathedral where we hopped on the tube to the O2 Arena to watch Me Before You at the Cinema which made me cry in the middle of the cinema 😦 The next day out was to see Aladdin the Musical which made me cry with laughter as the genie was so hilarious! My third adventure was to Mexico which I have written a blog post about which can be found here: https://gracethoroughgoodbeauty.wordpress.com/2016/07/04/mexico-2016/                           A few days after Mexico it was my 19th birthday which was celebrated with friends and family ❤ It was my brothers graduation a few days after my birthday- he received a masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University. I then hopped on a Eurostar train to Paris with my bestie Hannah which I also wrote a blog post about:                 https://gracethoroughgoodbeauty.wordpress.com/2016/07/18/paris-2016/                             When I got back from Paris I went with my mum to see In the Heights the musical which was extraordinary!!! I also had my first experience of Summer in the City which was so much fun 🙂 I believe one of my favourite experiences this summer was a movie marathon with my best friend- we chilled watching movies, eating pizza and chatting about random stuff ❤ As some of you may know I love shopping so I couldn’t go all summer without going on a few shopping trips which included going to Camden, Shoreditch and of course Oxford Street. My final adventure of Summer was a trip to Brighton with Anna and Hannah who are two of the most amazing people I know 🙂 We lazed on the beach, shopped in the lanes and ate fish and chips on the pier 🙂 Overall my Summer was absolutely fantastic and filled with some of my favourite memories and people 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you got up to this summer 🙂

Summer in the City 2016 :)

Summer in the City 2016 :)

Summer in the city is a massive youtube event that happens every year in London and this year it was held at the Excel centre from the 12-14th of August!!  I have never been before so this year I bought weekend tickets for my friend Ansha and I to head up to London and experience the amazingness that is Summer in the City 🙂

On the 13th of August I met my friend at Victoria Station and we got the tube and the DLR to the London Excel Centre which is where the event was held. We got there and showed our tickets which were exchanged for some really cool Purple wristbands 🙂 We then wandered round the Exhibition area where there were funfair rides, Merch stands and an open mic stage 🙂 Whilst wandering round the Exhibition area we spotted Hazel Hayes and Musical Bethan (Bethan Leadley) so went over and said hi and got selfies 🙂

After the exhibition hall we grabbed some lunch and headed through to the Meet and Greet hall as we had a scheduled meet and greet with Dodie Clark and Evan Edinger.

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetAfter our meet and greet we went to Panel room two where we saw a Panel about the Creater/Viewer divide which was really enlightening and interesting :) after that we went back through the exhibition hall stopping to take some photos whilst on our way to the main stage xx

Once we found the main stage we found a seat and also grabbed some dinner whilst watching Bars and Melody 🙂 after Bars and Melody there was the Youtube Awards and then Jon Cozart, Musical Bethan and Dodie Clark all performed in succession and were all amazing  🙂 Jon cozart performed After Ever After which was a dream come true and also performed an awkward duet with Dodie 🙂

On Sunday 14th of August we decided to go up to the Excel Centre slightly later as we were both rather tired from the day before 🙂 when we arrived we grabbed some lunch and then headed through the exhibition hall stopping to go on one of the fairground rides which had me crying with laughter 🙂 We then headed to the meet and greet hall for our official meet and greet with Jon Cozart.

After our meet and greet with Jon we sat and watched the SITC awards on the main stage which was really fun 🙂 the awards show went on for a while so we then headed home stopping to say hi to the Mandeville sisters on the way 🙂 They were both lovely and spent ages talking to everyone who came up to them ❤

Overall it was a fantastic weekend which I will never forget ❤ Thank you to all the youtubers I met this weekend and to my friend Ansha for keeping me company and for stopping me from being too much of an awkward fangirl 😛

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to SITC or a similar youtube event and if so what your experience was like ❤

Paris 2016 :)

Paris 2016 :)

For a few years now I have been wanting to go to Paris (the city of lights <3) so when my best friend Hannah suggested it I was over the moon. We booked our hotel, packed our bags and jumped on the Eurostar 🙂 When we arrived at Gare du Nord which is the biggest train station in Paris we got the metro to the Avenue Des Champs Elysees and then found our hotel which was 2 minutes from the Arc de Triomphe.

img_0192

After going up the Arc De Triomphe and seeing the amazing view we went shopping along the Champs Elysees which was AWESOME 🙂 I found Sephora so I had to have a shop around and see what they had 🙂

We then went back to the hotel to check in and unpack before going down to the Eiffel Tower where we took some pictures and grabbed some dinner.

After the Eiffel Tower we went back to the hotel to play the Bean Boozled challenge which was hilarious!!

The next day we took the Batobus down the Seine and went to the Musee d’orsay which had some amazing Monet’s! We then went to the Louvre which has the Mona Lisa and finally to Notre dame which has the most gorgeous Stain Glass Windows 🙂 For dinner we went to a traditional French restaurant and had fish and chips :p We then walked down to see the Eiffel Tower at sunset to see it lit up.

The next day we took a bus tour around Paris for Bastille day and saw some of the Military Parade. We saw a #parisweloveyou sign that we took some pictures with and also found a Lock bridge 🙂

We went to dinner in a Thai restaurant where I tried Frog Legs for the first time- the were really chewey!!! We then walked down to see the fireworks by the Eiffel Tower for Bastille Day which were beautiful.

And then on our last day we packed up our room and headed to Sacre-Coeur and the Hard Rock Cafe before getting the train back home.

Overall my experience of Paris was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Even though it was a series of early mornings and long days of walking I was laughing and smiling the whole time, saw some amazing Architecture and got to spend time with my Best Friend in the whole world 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you are going on holiday this summer and if u are where you are going 🙂

My 19th Birthday :)

My 19th Birthday :)

On the 4th of July 2016 I turned 19 🙂 After a nice lie in I chilled in bed for most of the morning reading birthday messages from my friends which were all very lovely and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 🙂

IMG_0159

After looking through my Birthday messages my mum, brother and I went out for lunch to a restaurant called Prezzo which was absolutely delicious 🙂 After Prezzo my auntie came round bringing her new foster dog with her which was adorable!!

IMG_0165.jpg

Once my Auntie left we sat down and had a Chinese take-away and afterwards I opened my birthday presents from my family 🙂 my brothers got me flowers and a Paris guide book 🙂 My parents got me a Ted Baker Handbag and a Rose Gold IPhone 6s for which I was very very grateful!! I also got the Hamilton soundtrack and some new Zoella Beauty 🙂

After a lazy day spending time with my family I happily curled up in bed feeling very lucky indeed 🙂 xx

On the 10th of July I met up with my two best friends to celebrate mine and my friend Anna’s birthday because they are very close 🙂 We started the day by having brunch at the Breakfast Club in London Bridge- I had a dish called The All American which was very nice and included pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs 🙂

We then went for a walk along Southbank and ended up sitting in a park opposite the London Eye watching people go by and eating ice cream 🙂

After Southbank we headed to Swingers which is a Crazy Gold Club- we played crazy golf whilst having a few drinks and laughed our heads off 🙂 It was so much fun and I would highly recommend it 🙂

Mexico 2016 :)

Mexico 2016 :)

This Summer my family and I decided to go back to Mexico for our family holiday because it was such a lovely place and there were still many things that we hadn’t seen 🙂 We arrived on the 21st of June in the evening and started our stay at the Paradisus Hotel in Cancun.  We settled down for a traditional Mexican dinner before heading to bed as the flight from London to Cancun is 10 hours so we were all very tired and jetlagged. The next two days were spent chilling by the pool drinking cocktails and reading my kindle 🙂 I also tried mussels for the first time and they were very nice ❤

The 24th of June brought with it an excursion to Xcaret which is a Park in Mexico. We arrived and went straight to the underground river which went through underground tunnels and into caves with bats flying around- it was very scary as it could be quite dark at times but very relaxing and beautiful when it opened up into large areas of clear freshwater. After swimming through the river we went on a water ride which was appropriately named ‘Adrenalina’ as the boat was going 55 miles per hour and was doing 360 degree turns and something called ‘immersion’ which was when the speedboat would suddenly stop causing a huge wave to come over the boat which I hated by everyone else loved. After ‘Adrenalina’ we went scuba diving where we saw a few blue tangs and a STING RAY!! Then after a bit of lunch we went exploring and saw Puma’s, butterflies, sea turtles, manatees, nurse sharks and much more including a mayan village. To finish off the day we went to a show called Xcaret Mexico Espectacular which was about the history of Mexico and the mayan people which was really interesting 🙂

From the 25th- 28th I spent my time by the pool sunbathing 🙂

On the 28th we moved from the Paradisus Cancun to the Secrets hotel in Akumal and I then spent the 29th reading my kindle on the beach reading books from the Zoella Book Club and even tried Escargot when we went to a French restaurant for dinner 🙂

On the 30th we had a tour of Tulum which is an old Mayan city which was originally called Zama. Tulum was a very beautiful city with lots of rich history and great photography spots 🙂

We then went on a turtle tour where we went snorkelling in the sea trying to see turtles in their natural environment which was amazing as they were choosing to be there rather than being boxed in and at one point one of the turtles came up for air right in front of me and was so close I could touch it 🙂

DCIM136GOPRO

I had one more day of relaxing by the pool and then on the 2nd of July we flew home. Overall Mexico 2016 was an amazing experience which I would love to repeat 🙂 who knows maybe I’ll find myself back in Mexico in Summer 2017 🙂

Let me know in the comments where ur off to this Summer or if u’ve ever been to Mexico before xxxxx

My first year at Uni :)

My first year at Uni :)

I have basically finished my first year at university…….. that sentence feels really surreal to write because I feel like it was only yesterday that I was a scared fresher moving into halls and now I’m nearly finished my first year and have moved out of halls!!!! I have had such an amazing year which I can look back on fondly and have so many great memories with awesome people who I hope to stay friends with long into the future ❤ I feel like I have grown up a lot this year mainly because I moved out of my house so had to learn to become independent whether that’s washing my own clothes and making sure to get out of bed in the morning to more serious stuff like making sure I met my deadlines for coursework and revising for exams without nagging from my parents. Meeting a load of new people can be really scary and is something I have always struggled with but it can also be exciting because you have the ability to build lots of new friendships to carry into the future and its also a learning experience 🙂 As I look back on the past year I can smile and say that I am proud of myself for how far I have come and I look forward to next year with excitement because although I will be living at home (living in central london is expensive!!!) I feel like I will take the skills I have learnt this year forward with me for a long time and the friendships I have made with year with some amazing people will hopefully only continue to flourish despite the distance because real friendship knows no distance ❤

Let me know in the comments what you have been up to this year xxxxx
