Blogmas Day 15: Superdrug and Boots Christmas gifts haul :)

Every year I am always so excited to see what Superdrug and Boots come out with for their Christmas gifting and this year they did not disappoint! Both boots and Superdrug have some amazing pieces from different fandoms such as Harry Potter, Disney and Friends 🙂

*DISCLAIMER* I am not trying to show off or brag about what I have bought I just really enjoy reading these types of posts and thought that it might inspire some Christmas present ideas as well 🙂 *DISCLAIMER*

The first few pieces I have picked up are two palettes from the brand Revolution which is a cruelty free make-up brand and their palettes are amazing! I then found a coffee mug and a box of bath bombs 🙂

The next few bits I bought are two highlighters and a lipgloss again from Revolution that were Disney themed 🙂 They had Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Princess and the Frog themed items which was amazing 🙂

The next item I found was a Mulan themed hand-cream and nail-file which doubled as a fan meaning I absolutely had to get it!

I am a big Harry Potter fan as many of you will already know and a proud Hufflepuff which is why I had to get the Hufflepuff bath bomb and I have always wanted to have some Harry Potter wand make-up brushes so I couldn’t resist 🙂

Love Actually is one of my favourite Christmas films so when I saw that Superdrug had Love Actually themed merch I was so excited! I ended up buying a candle which I’m so excited to burn!

I absolutely love TOO Faced as a make-up brand , they’re cruelty free and their Christmas palettes are amazing especially this year 🙂

I love doing a Face Mask and it became a bit of a tradition in my house during lockdown 2.0 to do some sort of mask on the weekend so I picked up some Disney themed face-masks for us to do and they were so much fun 🙂

Shopping for my Best Friend on Depop :)

When Hannah came round in July for a Summer Picnic we were discussing various things and the subject of Depop came up because she was wearing a dress that she had brought from Depop 🙂 We then decided that it would be a really fun idea to shop for each other on Depop and see how well the other person knew our style as Hannah had recently seen a video of Maria titled Dressing my friend! First we would sent 5 inspiration photos to each other of the kind of things we liked and then the other person would pick 3 Depop outfits that matched that style that they liked and then we would pick 1 or 2 to buy and try on 🙂

I then had to search on Depop for similar items/items with the same styling/clothes that I thought she would like 🙂 We had sent each other our measurements so could narrow it down by size and style and so I went through and saved a bunch of clothes which I thought would work and then went from there 🙂

I then went through and narrowed down the clothes and picked my final three which were these three: A red dress, a blue striped Hollister dress and a white top with a pair of black shorts to be paired together into an outfit 🙂

I then showed them to Hannah who picked the Blue striped Hollister dress which I think was a great choice 🙂 I’m so happy she liked one of the options and maybe we can give this a go again in the future 🙂

July-ving and thriving Day 26: Would you rather- Skincare/Makeup Edition :)

1. Win a lifetime of weekly facials or win a lifetime of weekly full-body massages? I actually don’t like full body massages because I have a very sensitive back since my surgery so I would definitely go for a lifetime of weekly facials 🙂
2. Throw away your entire skincare collection or throw away your entire makeup collection? I am really bad at my skincare so I would have to say throw away my entire skincare collection rather than my entire make-up collection! My make-up collection is definitely overkill so would be very expensive to replace!
3. Have a lifetime supply of your favorite makeup product or a lifetime supply of your favorite skincare product? I would have to say have a lifetime supply of my favourite skincare product because although there are only a few products I actually use I love them and would probably have to re-buy them more often than my favourite make-up product 🙂
4. Never go into a physical beauty store again or never be able to order makeup or skincare online again?- I have done a few shops online during lockdown and have really enjoyed not having to actually go to the store however it would be really hard to match your skin colour for foundation/concealer without actually going into the store so I would have to say never be able to order make-up/skincare again!
5. Have  bad skin or have bad breath? This is a really hard one but I think that I would rather have bad skin than bad breathe!
6. Always have to sleep with your makeup on or never wear makeup again? Ummm- I would have to say have to sleep in my make-up as I love getting dressed up and putting on my make-up when I’m going out for the day 🙂
7. Wear black lipstick on a job interview or wear blue lipstick on a date? I think I could rock a black lipstick better however I think I would rather wear blue lipstick for a date because I feel like I wouldn’t worry about the date as much as a job interview!
8. Would you rather take make-up advice from Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner? I am really bad at contour so I would love some contour tips from Kim Kardashian 🙂
9. Would you rather only wear blush or mascara? I actually don’t wear blush very often because I blush quite a lot naturally so I’d rather only wear mascara 🙂
10. Would you rather use lipstick on your eyes or eyeshadow on your lips? I think I would rather wear eyeshadow on my lips because there are so many different colours of eyeshadow and I think the powder would work better on the lips that trying to put lipstick on your eyes!

Lush Christmas Haul :)

1. Jingle Bells- A new bath bomb this year this bomb smells like Patchouli and Orange 🙂 It leaves blue swirls in the bath and is also Vegan 🙂 
2.  Candy cane bubble bar – This is actually one of the first products I bought from this years Christmas collection 😊 It looks sooo cute and smells amazing like Bergamont and Lemon 🙂  

3. Rudolph Bath Bomb- Smelling like Marzipan this bath bomb is so christmassy leaving your bath looking very autumnal with orange and yellow swirls 🙂 The antlers are also made from recycled paper ❤ 

4. Polar Bear Plunge- HOW CUTE IS THIS BATH BOMB!!! It is all glittery and so cute and I really hope they bring it back next year 🙂 It is great for your skin and smell amazing 🙂 

5. Snowman Dreaming- This Bath Bomb smells like Lavender so is very relaxing and leaves a rainbow of colours in the bath 🙂

My Cruelty Free Make-up Brush Collection :)

My first set of brushes that you see are my Unicorn brushes which were actually given to me by my Mum’s friend for my 21st Birthday. They are being stored in a Mean Girls Storage pot 🙂

Behind the Unicorn Brushes I have my Burn Book which is from Spectrum Brushes 🙂 When you open up the Burn Book you will see all of my brushes 🙂 I have 19 brushes from the Mean Girls Spectrum set: CO7, CO2, CO4, AO3, BO4, AO8, A12, A13, AO7, CO1, AO5, BO1, AO1, A21, A16, A10, A17, BO6.

I also have 6 brushes from their Millennial Pink Collection– AO3, CO3, BO1, CO4, AO1, BO2.

My favourite cruelty free make-up brands :)

At the start of 2019 I decided to go through my Make-up Collection and pick out all of the make-up from non-cruelty free brands and use it up and then not repurchase 🙂 Since then I have managed to get my make-up collection to completely cruelty free bar a few items which are still on the go but I’m nearly there 🙂 Once I have finished those products I will do a make-up collection 🙂  Since reorganising my Make-up collection a few brands have shown themselves to be firm favourites so I thought I would write a list of some of them 🙂 *DISCLAIMER* All of these brands came up as cruelty free when I looked on https://features.peta.org/cruelty-free-company-search/index.aspx but I don’t know if that site is 100% accurate and I’m still learning. *DISCLAIMER*

1. Too Faced- I absolutely love the Too faced highlighters and eyeshadow palettes- I also use the Too faced concealer on a basically daily basis!
2. Revolution- Revolution is a drugstore brand which is great because they have some amazing products for great prices- I love the eyeshadow palettes that they have including their collaboration with youtuber SophDoesNails.
3. Urban Decay- Naked heat palette!
4. Pixi- My mum actually introduced me to Pixi beauty and since then I have absolutely loved them- they have some amazing products and their packaging is beautiful!
5. Smashbox- The smashbox primer is my go-to and I also love their eyeshadow palettes 🙂 They have some small eyeshadow palettes which are great for travelling.
6. Stila- Stila has some beautiful highlighters and also gorgeous glitter eyeshadows.
7. Sleek- The Sleek highlighters and blushes are absolutely amazing.
8. Eyeko- Can’t beat this brand for waterproof mascara and eyeliner.
9. Charlotte Tilbury- Gorgeous packaging and some fantastic products.
10. Soap and Glory- I use the soap and glory shower gels and bodycare products all the time but have only recently expanded into their make-up and I love it! Another drug store brand I love their blushes and Supercat eyeliner.

New York Haul

At the end of November I was lucky enough to go on holiday with my Mum to New York which was amazing 🙂 While I was there I did a fair amount of shopping so I thought I would do a haul of all of the stuff I bought whilst I was there 🙂

As mentioned in my two previous blog posts I am a massive musical theatre nerd so while I was there I found a musical theatre shop called Theatre Circle which was a musical theatre nerds dreamland. While I was there I picked up a few cds and some show programmes 🙂

In the UK we don’t have a Bath and Body Works so I was so excited to do a Bath and Body works haul especially as they had all of their seasonal candles 🙂 I picked up quite a few candles and some skincare/body stuff in my favourite scent Winter Candy Apple 🙂 I absolutely love Bath and body works and will definitely be returning if I am lucky enough to go to New York again 🙂

The final store I went into was Sephora which is another store that is not in the UK 😦 I have been to Sephora before but not for ages and I have never been during the Christmas season where all of the different brands have their festive collections 🙂 I bought two eyeshadow palettes and a few other bits ❤

Advent Calendar Opening :)

*DISCLAIMER* I am in no way trying to show off or brag I know I am very lucky and privileged to have the opportunity to have these advent calendars 🙂 I love reading posts on what people got and I thought it might help anyone who is struggling to decide which one to get next year ❤ *DISCLAIMER*

M&S Advent Calendar- This year my Mum and I decided to share the 2017 M&S advent calendar because we each wanted different parts of the calendar as there are a lot of skincare and make-up products 🙂 My favourite products so far are definitely the Alpha H Liquid Rose Gold and the Pixi Honey Sheen Lip Product 🙂

Body shop calendar- I am a big fan of the body shop and have wanted to have a body shop advent calendar for a few years so I was so happy when my mum surprised me with one 🙂 This one was £45 and I am absolutely loving it! I love the shea hand cream and the mango shower gel 🙂 I am also very excited to try the body shop eyeliner because I have never tried the body shop make-up only their skincare 🙂

Mum’s advent calendar- My mum and I also got the M&S advent calendar last year and so we each had an empty calendar so in order to not waste them we each decided to fill the boxes again for this year so I did one for my mum and my mum did one for me 🙂 I’m only going to show a few of the products that I received but they were all lovely- Thank you Mum 🙂 My favourite products have to be the mini Pixi eyeshadow palette and the molten brown shower gel ❤

Yankee candle advent calendar- Last but by no means least as some of you will know I absolutely love candles and there is usually at least one burning in my room so when I saw this calendar and it was on sale I couldn’t resist 🙂 You get 23 of the small tealight candles and then on day 24 you get a votive candle which I’m very excited to open 🙂
