Blogmas Day 28: Christmas weekend 2020 :)

Blogmas Day 28: Christmas weekend 2020 :)

The few days before Christmas I did Zoom calls with my friends which was so lovely 🙂 On Christmas eve after doing quite a few homely jobs as my Mum hasn’t been very well the last few days we then settled down to our classic dinner of a Chinese take-away and then curled up to watch Jingle All The Way which we used to watch religiously as kids on Christmas eve and so we decided this year to watch it for the nostalgia effect 🙂 By this time we had had a few drinks and my older brother gave me one of my presents early which was Harry Potter themed Dobble so we started playing that which was so fun!!

Christmas day we woke up, had a cooked breakfast and then went and started opening presents 🙂 I had bought my dad a retro Space Invaders game which connects to the TV so as soon as he had opened that up he got my brother to set it up for him and got engrossed in playing while we finished off opening the presents around him 🙂 Maya was running around like a lunatic whilst opening her presents and we actually only gave her 3/4 of her presents on Christmas day and then gave her the last few on Boxing day 🙂 We then went to see my Grandma (my mums mum) and took the dog for a walk as she has a park behind her house so while my mum chatted to her my dad and I took it in turns with the dog in the park 🙂 We then popped round my Nan and Grandads house to talk to them on the drive and as they only live round the corner my brothers walked round and joined us which was lovely 🙂 After that we headed home and had our Christmas dinner 🙂

On Boxing day I actually had to go to work which was really really nice as I have been on Furlough since April of 2020 and have only been in for 3 days since then in November so it was nice to go back in again and see people 🙂 Once I got back from work at around 5 we then sat down for another Christmas dinner which was absolutely delicious!! After dinner we then all sat down and watched The Grinch 🙂

Finally on the 28th I spent most of the day playing my new Animal Crossing New Horizons game 🙂

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are still enjoying the festive season between Christmas and New Year where the world seems to stand still 🙂

Blogmas day 23: London at Christmas 😊

Blogmas day 23: London at Christmas 😊

On the 14th of December I met up with my friend Hannah and we went to Covent Garden for a day of Christmassy photos 🙂 We had a wander around Covent garden which has such lovely Christmas sections- their flower benches have been redone for Christmas, they have a Christmas tree display with decorations advertising the different shops and places around the area 🙂 then finally they have a massive tree as well 🙂 We then had a shop in one of my favourite small shops called Sass and Belle where I bought a few little Christmassy bits and then had lunch in the outside section by Shake Shack who had Truffle Fries for the Christmas season! After lunch we wandered to Somerset house to see their Christmas tree and finally got the bus to Victoria where we got some hot chocolates and took a few photos around Belgravia which was very lucky because it then started pelting it down with rain just as we finished taking photos!!

Let me know in the comments your favourite Christmas place in your town 🙂

Blogmas Day 19: Mayas 2nd Christmas :)

Blogmas Day 19: Mayas 2nd Christmas :)

Last year I absolutely spoint Maya for her first ever Christmas and this year is no different! I feel like if anything I have gone even more overboard this year!! I have picked up lots and lots of presents for her from lots of different places: Poundland, Time 4 Pets, Pets at Home, Poundland, local Garden centres and a shop called Jack Frost which has loads of dog toys, food and coats 🙂 Instead of jumpers for Maya I usually end up buying her Christmas bandanas which go round her collar however I always put her in the one Christmas jumper that we have that we bought for our old dog Ellie ❤ ❤ ❤ She has a little reindeer on her collar which she has for the entire month of December and this year I bought her a personalised gift bag to hold all of her toys and of course she has an advent calendar again which she absolutely loves although I think she wishes she could eat all of the treats in one go 🙂

Let me know in the comments any more recommendations for what I should do with Maya for Christmas

My life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 4 recap and Chapter 5 aims :)

My life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 4 recap and Chapter 5 aims :)

On the 9th of July I uploaded my Month 1 aims for my Changing my life series and now I’ve just finished Chapter 4 of my Changing My Life series and am very excited to get started on my Chapter 5 aims- Chapter 4 was really focused on Halloween but this month I would love to focus on getting back into a bit of a routine and also I am heading back to work for a few days which will be absolutely lovely 🙂

Favourite quote of the month: When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers ’tis near Halloween’

This month has been filled with all things Halloween and lots of days out- I have been to Camden a few times, I went out for an afternoon tea, to a brunch in London where there was unlimited cheese and chocolate fondue which is amazing! Maya also had her spay which was really stressful but she is all recovered now 🙂

  1. Send 2 friends something nice and cook something new 🙂 – My friend Rias birthday is at the start of October so I actually sent her some gluten free flapjacks because when I went to visit her last we had them while we were there and they are so nice!! Then about halfway through the month I got an email that the Spectrum Frida Kahlo brushes were back in stock which I had tried to get the last time I was out so I very quickly ordered a set for myself and also a set for Barghavi 🙂 I haven’t cooked anything this month however I did find a recipe for some Biscoff muffins which were to die for!

2. I have really been off my running game recently so I would love to  run at least 3K twice this month :)- I did manage to go for two runs this month however they were only 1.5km each as I haven’t been running in a while and my legs started to cramp up, I’m hoping that I can get back into my running game next chapter 🙂

3. Go shopping in Primark and do an online order :)- I have actually managed to do a few hauls this month, I have been to Camden twice which was absolutely lovely as I love the stalls there, I did a massive order online on two of my favourite stores called Infinite Wonderland and Get.It.Creations, I also found an amazing shop called The House of Spells where they sell lots of Harry Potter stuff and finally I went to Oxford Street which was lovely 🙂

4. Continue improving my training knowledge and also look after Maya following her Spay and finally take Maya back to Pets at home at some point :)- Maya had her Spay on the 4th of October so for around 10 days/2 weeks after she had to stay calm and wear a cone which was really funny- she would often forget she was wearing it so would get stuck or run into things! We went back to training classes in the hall for a few weeks which was really good 🙂

5.  Have a Halloween day, take a selfie with my new Halloween Minnie ears and carve a pumpkin :)- I am such a big fan of Halloween and love getting in the spirit- I had a little Halloween weekend with Barghavi where we watched a few Halloween films, made Halloween cookies and carved pumpkins which was so much fun 🙂

6. Write up a country from my Great Grandmas journal- The next country in my Great Grandmas journal is Malta which I absolutely loved writing about as it is somewhere I have never been and I absolutely love reading about different places 🙂 This was the 5th country I have written out so I am now getting the hang of her handwriting and the way that she talks which makes it a lot easier!

7. Update my media kit, reach 1350 followers, photoshoot in Kew Gardens and finally email a brand regarding a collaboration- I updated my media kit early this month with all my new stats and have then sent off my new media kit to a brand called Infinite Wonderland which is a brand I absolutely love so fingers crossed!! I didn’t quite reach my goal of 1350 followers but am only 5 away! On the 10th of October Hannah and I headed to Kew Gardens for a lovely Halloween photoshoot which was so much fun OMG 🙂

I had a lot of fun completing these goals and am so excited to start working on my Chapter 4 goals 🙂

  1. Cook my pancetta risotto and also cook something new 🙂
  2. Run 3k at least twice this month 🙂
  3. Do a Black Friday haul 🙂
  4. Continue working on my training knowledge and do a few work webinars
  5. Do some Christmas shopping, take down my Halloween decorations and start setting up for Christmas 🙂
  6. Write up a country from my Great Grandmas journal
  7. Reach 1400 followers on here, have a photoshoot and start writing blogmas posts 🙂

Let me know in the comments any ideas for my goals for the next chapter 🙂

Kew Gardens 2020 :)

Kew Gardens 2020 :)

On the 10th of October Hannah and I headed to Kew Gardens which was so epic! We took so many amazing photos, walked over 20,000 steps and I absolutely loved it 🙂 It was great for during this time because most of the things are outside and they had some autumnal trees and the greenhouses were really warm which was nice as it is starting to get colder 🙂 You had to wear masks inside the greenhouses and when ordering your food but apart from that everything else was outside and we were able to just walk around and take photos 🙂 I like that it was organised into different countries which made it really cool and I took three different jumpers so that I could get some different photos 🙂 I think my favourite parts were: the greenhouses, the autumnal trees and the Queens garden 🙂

Thank you so much Hannah for keeping me company and taking the photos 🙂 Be sure to check out Hannahs blog here 🙂

Let me know in the comments which of these photos are your favourites and which jumper was your favourite 🙂

Belgravia and Kensington 2020 :)

Belgravia and Kensington 2020 :)

On the 28th of September I met Hannah at Victoria for a lovely photoshoot day in Belgravia and Kensington 🙂 I managed to get a few Autumnal photos which was really nice and a few photos to finish off the summer vibe 🙂 We took a change of clothes so we could take a few more photos in the one day and stopped off at Elan Cafe to change and have some lunch which was so nice 🙂 We started of at Victoria and walked along towards Peggy Porshen through Belgravia and found a few spots to take some photos 🙂

After our photoshoot in Belgravia we walked along towards Elan Cafe near to Kensington. I love Elan Cafe as it is so photogenic and pink! The food was really good as well 🙂 I have been to Elan Cafe once before but I went to the one near Oxford Street last time so it had a different vibe to this one- this one had a sweet theme which I loved wheras the one I went to in Oxford street had a more flowery vibe 🙂

After Lunch we then headed towards Kensington where Hannah had picked out a few different places to take photos and I was so excited as I had bought this dress from Primark a while ago and I had been looking for an opportunity to take photos in it as I had an idea of taking a Folklore inspired photo in this dress as it really gave me that vibe 🙂

It was such a nice day and I had so much fun thank you so much Hannah for keeping me company and for taking the photos 🙂 Be sure to check out Hannahs blog here 🙂

Let me know in the comments whether you prefer my dress or the Harry Potter jumper and Jeans 🙂 and where your favourite place is to take Autumnal photos 🙂

Decorating for Halloween 2020 :)

Decorating for Halloween 2020 :)

I am such a big Halloween fan: I watch non-scary Halloween movies throughout September and October, always carve a pumpkin, decorate my room with pumpkins and autumnal bits, drink hot chocolate non-stop and love the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (I know I’m basic :p). This year I have stepped my decorating up a notch and have added some Harry Potter bits to my room as Harry Potter always have a Halloween feel to me, put back up my few Halloween bits and have purchased quite a few Halloween bits as well 🙂 I thought I would show you guys the few bits I have added to my room to make it a bit more Autumnal and Halloweenie 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you are someone who decorates for Halloween and absolutely loves the autumnal season or if you’re someone who always skips straight to Christmas 🙂

My Life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 3 recap and chapter 4 aims

My Life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 3 recap and chapter 4 aims

On the 9th of July I uploaded my Month 1 aims for my Changing my life series and now I’ve just finished Chapter 3 of my Changing My Life series and am very excited to get started on my Chapter 4 aims- I feel like this Chapter hasn’t been quite as successful as some of the previous chapters so I’m excited to jump back into my planning and GYSTing 🙂

Favourite Quote of the month: Just because something doesn’t do what you planned it to do doesn’t mean its useless

This month I’ve been feeling a bit meh but have had a few absolutely lovely days! I finally met Barghavis bird, spent a weekend with her cooking all delicious food, went vegetarian for a week, spent the day in Belgravia and Kensington with my friend Hannah which was absolutely lovely, spent a lot of time with MyMy, decorated for Halloween and had a lovely movie day watching Harry Potter and Disney 🙂

  1. Hannah who some of you might know from some of my previous blog posts challenged me to be vegetarian for 5 days this month which was really interesting!! 🙂 I did this relatively early in the month and really enjoyed the challenge of finding different stuff to eat 🙂 You guys will have to check out Hannahs blog to find out how I got on! I anticipated that I would struggle a little bit but I don’t think I anticipated quite how hard it would be and had underestimated how much meat I eat!

2. My second aim of this Chapter was that I had started running 2x a week which I wanted to continue and to run 3k at least once a week however I definitely didn’t do this! I think I have run twice since that post for a few different reasons- weather, time of the month and a lack of motivation so I’m hoping to bring this aim into next chapter and will hopefully do a little bit better with it this time!

3. This month I continued my Chapter 2 aim of waking up before 9am and also aimed to drink 2l of water every day which I did pretty well I would say 🙂 I have had a few very busy days which have required me to wake up really early and also I have been pretty good at remembering to drink my water 🙂

4. I have officially decorated for Halloween now which I am absolutely loving! Its so much fun having all of the Halloweeny bits brightening up my room and have even written a blog post about my decorations 🙂 I also bought Maya a vampire cat toy from Amazon which she absolutely loves 🙂

5. I have been spending a lot of time with Maya this month working on training, I recently purchased an agility jump for her from Amazon which she absolutely loves so we have been having a lot of fun with that and also have been working on her retrieve and bed which are both coming along really well 🙂

6. If you’ve been following my adventures during quarantine then you will know that I have been writing up my Great Grandmas journals from when she went travelling as a young woman and its been so much fun! This chapter I wrote out her trip to Portugal which was an absolutely amazing read 🙂 I’ve been to Portugal before but didn’t get a chance to check out the sights when I went so it was really interesting to read all about it 🙂

7. This Chapter I managed to reach 1,300 followers on this blog which is absolutely amazing and thank you to anyone who follows me on here ❤ I also wrote 2 Halloween themed blog posts, did a photoshoot with Hannah in Belgravia/Kensington and finally did a skillshare course on photography 🙂

I had a lot of fun completing these goals and am so excited to start working on my Chapter 4 goals 🙂

  1. Send 2 friends something nice and cook something new 🙂
  2. I have really been off my running game recently so I would love to  run at least 3K twice this month 🙂
  3.  Go shopping in Primark and do an online order
  4. Continue improving my training knowledge and also look after Maya following her Spay and finally take Maya back to Pets at home at some point 🙂
  5.  Have a Halloween day, take a selfie with my new Halloween Minnie ears and carve a pumpkin 🙂
  6. Write up a country from Great Grandmas journal
  7. Update my media kit, reach 1350 followers, photoshoot in Kew Gardens and finally email a brand regarding a collaboration

Let me know in the comments what goals you think I should have for the next chapter 🙂

Working from Home Week 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 :)

Working from Home Week 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 :)

The 23rd and 24th of August were pretty chill and then on the 25th I did some GYSTing on my laptop with help from Maya and then Barghavi came round for a photoshoot of the Depop dresses I had brought as part of my collaboration with Hannah which was so much fun (Barghi if you’re reading this thank you so much for your help!!) 🙂

The 26th of August was my friend Annas birthday so I had sent her some flowers and pancake mix and then on the 27th I went shopping with my mum and her friend Sandy 🙂 I then came home and watched Mulan with my Grandma 🙂

I then chilled for the next few days- went shopping, my brother moved out and I had a zoom call with Anna and Hannah for Annas birthday where we all ordered a chinese take-away so we could pretend we were all in the same restaurant and I then watched Moana.

On the bank holiday Monday we had a nice dinner because my brother was home for the weekend and then my brothers girlfriend Holly and I sat and watched Hamilton with popcorn 🙂

The next few days were pretty chill as my parents went to watch my oldest brother play football so I chilled at home watching The Lion King with Maya and my Grandma 🙂

The Thursday we went shopping and then on the Friday Barghavi popped round to watch Live Action Mulan! Then on the Saturday Barghavi and I went to the box park for lunch and then chilled at mine for a bit 🙂

On the Sunday my Grandma moved out of the house into a bungalow and I went round to my Nans in the morning because she was looking after her sisters dog 🙂

Monday was pretty chill and the start of my 5 days being Vegetarian and then on the Tuesday I went to Barghavi’s house to meet her bird!

On the Wednesday my family and I went to Morden Hall Park for the day which was lovely as Maya was running around in the river which was really fun and also there was a garden centre 🙂

Thursday was pretty chill as everyone was out for the day so I had the house completely to myself for the first time since lockdown started! I did some training with Maya and gave her her new toys, went round to my nans and watched Live Action Mulan for a second time 🙂

The next day on the Friday Barghavi popped round for the weekend which was absolutely lovely 🙂 We had a chill night on the Thursday but then on the Friday we made a cooked breakfast for everyone in my house and then while my parents were at football took the dog to the woods and made a Biscoff cheesecake!

On the Sunday we had a BBQ in the afternoon and then Barghavi and I decided to set off a lantern which was so pretty!

I always have a bit of the GYSY day on a Monday but I did end up going to my Nans pool which was so much fun and then on the Tuesday I met up with Barghavi again and we headed to Toby Carvery which was so nice 🙂

On Wednesday it was still really hot so my parents and I decided to take Maya to Beddington Park where there is a river for her to run about in to cool down which she absolutely loved 🙂

Thursday and Friday were pretty chill days and then on the Saturday I had a movie day with Barghi which was so lovely and exactly what I needed 🙂 I wrote a post about it which can be found here.

The rest of the week was very chill which was lovely- I spent the days GYSTing and went shopping with my mum which was lovely 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you have been up to the last few days 🙂
