Selsey Weekend 2022 😊

Selsey Weekend 2022 😊

This year due to the Queens Platinum Jubilee we got a 4 day weekend so my family headed to my Nans caravan for the long weekend to spend some time together and to let Maya have a run around and a swim in the sea ❤️

On the Thursday we headed up to Selsey in Chichester. On the way through we stopped off at a sweet shop in the village which was really cool and then headed to the caravan and unpacked our stuff and headed straight to the beach 😊 Maya knew where she was immediately and ran to the gate to run onto the beach 😂

The next day we headed into the village for some breakfast and also stopped off to get some ice cream which was delish 😍 we also saw the Selsey Seal which was so so cool!! He was chilling on the rocks to the side and we borrowed the neighbours binoculars to get a better look as well 😊

On Saturday my Dad had to come back to our hometown for a bit but my Mum and I stayed up by the beach 😊 we walked up to the village for some breakfast and then spent the rest of the day at the beach with Maya ❤️

The Sunday included a little street party for the Jubilee which was fun and then we headed back pretty soon after because we were really tired after a long few days and needed to get back and get organised 😊

It was a really lovely long weekend at the beach and Maya had a really good time I hope 🤞

Let me know in the comments what you got up to for the long bank holiday weekend 😊

Edinburgh 2022 :)

Edinburgh 2022 :)

On the 6th of March my Mum and I boarded a train from Kings Cross in London to Edinburgh Waverly 🙂 I had never been to Edinburgh before but my Mum has been a few times so I was super excited! We packed ourselves a picnic for the train as it was around 6 hours but time actually flew by 😊

When we arrived in Edinburgh we headed straight to our hotel which was only 5 minutes from the train station to dump our stuff and have a think about what we wanted to do for the rest of the day- we ended up just having an explore around the immediate area, did some shopping and found the castle!!

After our little explore we headed back to the hotel to change and then headed to dinner at an Italian restaurant near our hotel called Vapiano which was absolutely delish!

The next morning we got up early and headed to Holyrood house after some breakfast which is the Palace that the Queen uses when she has engagements in Scotland including the garden party 😊 The palace is beautiful and it’s so interesting learning about all of the history as well including stories about Mary Queen of Scots

We then sat down for a hot chocolate and scone in the palace cafe which was really nice 😊

After the refreshments we decided to start heading up Arthur’s seat which is an ancient volcano that resides next to Holyrood house! It is an epic hike up to the top and we were absolutely knackered by the end but we did make it and the view was definitely worth it!

Once we had hiked back down Arthur’s seat we decided to do a bus tour for the rest of the afternoon so we could rest and also see different parts of the city that we had yet to see such as the Greyfriars Bobby inn and some of the other beautiful buildings

We then headed back to the hotel to change and go for dinner at The Ivy which was so so delish!! Neither of us have been to The Ivy in London but we spotted it at the end of the road that our hotel was on so figured why not! I had prawn tempura to start and then fish and chips for mains and then finally for dessert a chocolate bombe 😊

The next day we got up early and this time we headed to the castle which was actually only about a 10 minute walk from our hotel 😊 we did a tour of the castle and even saw the 1 o’clock gun which was really cool!!

After our tour of the castle we headed off to find some food and stumbled across a Thai restaurant which was pretty much next to the castle and it had the most amazing Pad Thai!!

After our Pad Thai we headed to Victoria street which is a street in Edinburgh which apparently inspired Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter series which is super cool!! While on that street we found two different Harry Potter themed shops which was pretty epic 😊

After our explore of the Harry Potter street we headed to The Royal Mile to try and find a deep fried Mars bar which we did actually manage to find in a fish and chip shop 😊 there was also a Christmas shop which was super cool!

After exploring Royal Mile we headed back to our hotel and then headed to a local pub for some dinner and afterwards we went to a Gin Festival which was really cool!!

On our final day we woke up and headed to a cafe for breakfast where I ordered the traditional Scottish breakfast including haggis, black pudding and lots of other delicious things 😊

After breakfast we decided to have a walk so we headed up Carlton hill which was really fun and it has some really epic monuments at the top 😊

We then headed back to our hotel, popped into M&S to grab a picnic for the train home and walked to the station 😞

It was such a lovely few days away and I really loved the city of Edinburgh 😊 I would definitely like to go back in the future as well ❤️

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been or Edinburgh and if you have where your favourite place was 😊

Selsey 2021 :)

Selsey 2021 :)

On the 28th of August my family and I packed up our car and headed to the beach in Selsey in Chichester for the weekend which was so so nice 🙂 We took Maya for lots of walks, chilled on the beach, had some lovely food and had a really relaxing weekend 🙂 On the way to Selsey we popped into a place called Arundel which was such a lovely town where we went for afternoon tea which was delish 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you have been to Selsey or what your favourite beach in England is 🙂

Windsor 2021 :)

Windsor 2021 :)

On the morning of the 7th of August I jumped on a train to meet my two friends Hannah and Anna in Windsor which was so much fun 🙂 When we first arrived the changing of the guard was happening which was absolutely amazing- we didn’t realise that it would be happening at that point but it was so so cool 🙂

Once the changing of the guard was finished we then went into the castle and did an audioguide which was so much fun 🙂 The castle is beautiful and we had so much fun looking round and seeing all of the amazing architecture and tapestries. We also looked around St Georges Chapel and I lit a candle whilst I was in there which is something I do in all of the chapels that I go to 🙂

After our tour of the castle we went for some lunch which was really tasty! We then dumped our bags in the hotel and did a bit of shopping- we are all massive book nerds so popped into Waterstones and also WHSmith because I needed to buy an IPhone charger 🙂

We walked towards castle while shopping and decided to finish our sightseeing for the day by walking along The Long Walk which is a long walk (hence the name :P) where there are processions towards the castle and it was lot of fun- it is a 50 minute walk each way but we were chatting as we walked so it was really nice 🙂

After the long walk we decided to go for dinner at Honest Burger which was so so delicious!! I have been to Honest Burger once in London at the Holborn branch and it was so so nice 🙂 I love the fact that as well as their signature burgers they have a burger of the month and each location has its own burger 🙂

After dinner we headed back to the hotel and chilled which was lovely and organised ourselves for the next day 🙂

The next day we woke up and headed out for brunch 🙂 We went to a place called Browns which was right next to the river so we had a lovely view while we ate our food and had some smoothies and coffee 🙂 The food was delicious and it was so much fun 🙂

After food we then decided to have a wander along the river, we saw some swans, chatted and saw some other cool bits along the way and it was a lovely way to end our trip 🙂 We went past Alexandra Gardens and saw some really cool fountains 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Windsor and if you have what was your favourite part 🙂

Friendsfest 2021 :)

Friendsfest 2021 :)

I have been wanting to go to Friendsfest for the last few years as I am a massive Friends fan!! I tentatively booked tickets for Friendsfest 2021 hoping that it would be allowed to go ahead and I am so so happy that it did 🙂 I ended up going with my Mum and we had an absolutely AMAZING day 🙂 When we first walked in and went to the left you started on the ‘Red Carpet’ and then moved onto the outside of Monicas door where you could re-create the iconic ‘floating heads scene’ which was so so much fun! Then you moved onto a selfie booth where they had lots of different signs with different quotes from the show 🙂 Finally there was Phoebes taxi which was pretty cool 🙂

We then moved onto Central Perk where there were three different official photo points and then ordered some hot chocolates and a blueberry muffin which was absolutely delish 🙂 At this point we sat down to enjoy our drinks and food which was really nice- what I liked about Friendsfest and why it was able to go ahead as successfully as it did was because it was outside 🙂

We then moved onto the next photo opportunity where you could recreate the title scenes, then we recreated the PIVOT scene which was so much fun and so funny! Then I did the “COULD I BE ANY MORE CLOTHES” scene which was so so cool and was done via green screen to make the experience more Covid friendly 🙂

We then went for lunch and grabbed a slice of Pizza at Joeys Pizza and also went to the bar to get some cocktails 🙂 The cocktails were all Friends themed which was really cool and they also had soft drinks and normal alcoholic beverages as well 🙂 We then sat in front of the big screen which was really cool and they played some of the iconic scenes from the show 🙂

Finally we had booked a Set Tour at 2.40 where you could do round and take photos in the three different apartments: Monica and Rachels, Chandler and Joey and then Ross/Ugly Naked Guys apartment 🙂

Overall I had so so so much fun and I would highly recommend Friendsfest to any Friends fan 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you are a Friends fan and if you are who is your favourite character 🙂

My 24th Birthday :)

My 24th Birthday :)

On Sunday 4th of July 2021 I turned 24 years old and I had such a nice time 🙂 This will be the last year that I can say I am in my early twenties which definitely adds lots of pressure on me to get my life together as I head into my mid twenties! When I was younger I always thought that people in their early-mid twenties had everything together and were so grown up but now I’m at that point in my life and through talking to friends my age I can confirm that we’re all just making it up as we go along attempting to look like we know what we’re doing! Anyway quarter life crisis aside I had a lovely birthday weekend and I thought I would share on here what I got up to 🙂 Thank you so much to all of my friends and family who made it so so special ❤ ❤

On the Saturday I went out for an afternoon tea to Fortnum and Masons with my Mum and my friend Barghavi which was so so lovely! The food was amazing and everyone there was so sweet 🙂 I have wanted to go to afternoon tea at Fortnum and Masons for so long ever since my Mum went with her friend and bought back a slice of cake which we then ate that evening and it was one of the best slices of cake I have ever eaten so I was very very excited and it definitely lived up to my expectations 🙂

After eating our body weight in cake, scones and sandwiches we headed to Camden which is one of my favourite places in London 🙂 I love Camden because it has lots of different stalls and everytime I go I find a different stall that wasn’t there last time and that has amazing stuff that is right up my alley 🙂

On the Sunday I spent the day chilling at home with my family and Barghavi which was so nice and needed after the busy day on the Saturday 🙂 My Nan and Grandad popped round which was such a nice surprise because obviously with the pandemic I haven’t been able to see them as much as I would like so it made the day even more special being able to see them for some birthday cake 🙂 My Aunt and Uncle also popped round and then later in the evening my brother Billy and his girlfriend came round for dinner and we ordered Wagamama 🙂 I was also messaging friends throughout the day which was also so nice 🙂

Overall I had an amazing birthday weekend and I can thank everyone who made it special enough 🙂 The next post going up on this blog will be a What I Got For My Birthday so keep an eye out for that 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you would do on your perfect birthday weekend celebration 🙂

Day in the life: Mayas 2nd Birthday :)

Day in the life: Mayas 2nd Birthday :)

On the 2nd of February 2021 my dog Maya turned 2 so I thought I would throw her a little party to celebrate 😊 I had wrapped up loads of toys and treats for her and my friend Barghavi also popped round to see us (in our games room with the back doors open) which was so lovely 🙂 I gathered together all of her presents and arranged them with some balloons I had bought and some banners on the door 🙂 We then took her out for a long walk at the woods which she absolutely loved and then came back to give her a little cake called a woofin 🙂 I had also made her some homemade biscuits from a pre-made mix that Barghavi had bought me for Christmas which was awesome 🙂 I think Maya had a lovely day and I certainly did 🙂

Let me know in the comments if you have any pets and if you do what you do for their birthday 🙂

Day in my life: Snow day with Maya :)

Day in my life: Snow day with Maya :)

On the 24th of January I woke up to a layer of snow over the garden which is so so exciting!! It was the first time that Maya had seen snow which was so much fun and we went out to the garden to have a play and then my family and I took her to the park near us for a walk and grabbed some hot chocolates on the way 🙂 I’m one of those weird people who absolutely LOVE snow so I had such a fun day 🙂

Let me know in the comments whether you love or hate the snow and why 🙂

Blogmas Day 28: Christmas weekend 2020 :)

Blogmas Day 28: Christmas weekend 2020 :)

The few days before Christmas I did Zoom calls with my friends which was so lovely 🙂 On Christmas eve after doing quite a few homely jobs as my Mum hasn’t been very well the last few days we then settled down to our classic dinner of a Chinese take-away and then curled up to watch Jingle All The Way which we used to watch religiously as kids on Christmas eve and so we decided this year to watch it for the nostalgia effect 🙂 By this time we had had a few drinks and my older brother gave me one of my presents early which was Harry Potter themed Dobble so we started playing that which was so fun!!

Christmas day we woke up, had a cooked breakfast and then went and started opening presents 🙂 I had bought my dad a retro Space Invaders game which connects to the TV so as soon as he had opened that up he got my brother to set it up for him and got engrossed in playing while we finished off opening the presents around him 🙂 Maya was running around like a lunatic whilst opening her presents and we actually only gave her 3/4 of her presents on Christmas day and then gave her the last few on Boxing day 🙂 We then went to see my Grandma (my mums mum) and took the dog for a walk as she has a park behind her house so while my mum chatted to her my dad and I took it in turns with the dog in the park 🙂 We then popped round my Nan and Grandads house to talk to them on the drive and as they only live round the corner my brothers walked round and joined us which was lovely 🙂 After that we headed home and had our Christmas dinner 🙂

On Boxing day I actually had to go to work which was really really nice as I have been on Furlough since April of 2020 and have only been in for 3 days since then in November so it was nice to go back in again and see people 🙂 Once I got back from work at around 5 we then sat down for another Christmas dinner which was absolutely delicious!! After dinner we then all sat down and watched The Grinch 🙂

Finally on the 28th I spent most of the day playing my new Animal Crossing New Horizons game 🙂

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are still enjoying the festive season between Christmas and New Year where the world seems to stand still 🙂

Blogmas day 23: London at Christmas 😊

Blogmas day 23: London at Christmas 😊

On the 14th of December I met up with my friend Hannah and we went to Covent Garden for a day of Christmassy photos 🙂 We had a wander around Covent garden which has such lovely Christmas sections- their flower benches have been redone for Christmas, they have a Christmas tree display with decorations advertising the different shops and places around the area 🙂 then finally they have a massive tree as well 🙂 We then had a shop in one of my favourite small shops called Sass and Belle where I bought a few little Christmassy bits and then had lunch in the outside section by Shake Shack who had Truffle Fries for the Christmas season! After lunch we wandered to Somerset house to see their Christmas tree and finally got the bus to Victoria where we got some hot chocolates and took a few photos around Belgravia which was very lucky because it then started pelting it down with rain just as we finished taking photos!!

Let me know in the comments your favourite Christmas place in your town 🙂
