Windsor 2021 :)

On the morning of the 7th of August I jumped on a train to meet my two friends Hannah and Anna in Windsor which was so much fun πŸ™‚ When we first arrived the changing of the guard was happening which was absolutely amazing- we didn’t realise that it would be happening at that point but it was so so cool πŸ™‚

Once the changing of the guard was finished we then went into the castle and did an audioguide which was so much fun πŸ™‚ The castle is beautiful and we had so much fun looking round and seeing all of the amazing architecture and tapestries. We also looked around St Georges Chapel and I lit a candle whilst I was in there which is something I do in all of the chapels that I go to πŸ™‚

After our tour of the castle we went for some lunch which was really tasty! We then dumped our bags in the hotel and did a bit of shopping- we are all massive book nerds so popped into Waterstones and also WHSmith because I needed to buy an IPhone charger πŸ™‚

We walked towards castle while shopping and decided to finish our sightseeing for the day by walking along The Long Walk which is a long walk (hence the name :P) where there are processions towards the castle and it was lot of fun- it is a 50 minute walk each way but we were chatting as we walked so it was really nice πŸ™‚

After the long walk we decided to go for dinner at Honest Burger which was so so delicious!! I have been to Honest Burger once in London at the Holborn branch and it was so so nice πŸ™‚ I love the fact that as well as their signature burgers they have a burger of the month and each location has its own burger πŸ™‚

After dinner we headed back to the hotel and chilled which was lovely and organised ourselves for the next day πŸ™‚

The next day we woke up and headed out for brunch πŸ™‚ We went to a place called Browns which was right next to the river so we had a lovely view while we ate our food and had some smoothies and coffee πŸ™‚ The food was delicious and it was so much fun πŸ™‚

After food we then decided to have a wander along the river, we saw some swans, chatted and saw some other cool bits along the way and it was a lovely way to end our trip πŸ™‚ We went past Alexandra Gardens and saw some really cool fountains πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Windsor and if you have what was your favourite part πŸ™‚

  1. Yes, been to Windsor Castle. The first day of The Bristol Pilgrimage- while it was the 1st of the BP, my family’s 3rd day in England due to going up two days early. Windsor Castle- after meeting everyone else at the Airport, we went straight to Windsor Castle—started with the Changing of the Guards before going into the Castle
