July Favourites :)

July Favourites :)

This month features TV quite heavily as I had an 8 hour plane journey on my way back from Mexico at the start of the month so managed to watch a few movies on the plane and also I have been to the cinema quite a few times this month which was really fun 🙂

  1. The Hate You Give- I watched this movie on the plane on the way back from Mexico and at one point I was literally crying in my seat. This film is so powerful and is based on a book of the same name which I will definitely be reading 🙂 img_0754
  2. Crazy Rich Asians- This was another film that I watched  on my way back from Mexico and I definitely understand the hype around it. I laughed, I cried and already want to watch it again!
  3. Spiderman Far From Home- I went to see this film in the cinema with two of my friends and I absolutely loved it! I am a big Marvel fan as most of you will probably already know and Spiderman is one of my favourite characters from the MCU. I loved the twists and turns of this movie and am a big fan of Tom Holland and Zendaya.
  4. Stranger things Season 3- Despite the fact that I’m not a big fan of horror and suspense I absolutely love stranger things so decided to spend one weekend in July and binge-watch the new season of Stranger things 🙂 I love the character development that you see within every season of Stranger things for example Steve Harrington has become one of my favourite characters but I hated him in Season 1. This is definitely a show that I have to watch during the day though!
  5. Yesterday- This was another film that I went to see in the cinema in July and I absolutely loved it. The idea behind the film is that one day Jack Malik wakes up and everyone has forgotten about the Beatles which is a very funny concept and also Ed Sheeran who is one of my favourite singer/songwriters features quite heavily in the film as well.

May favourites 2019 :)

May favourites 2019 :)
  1. That 70s Show- I have been watching this show for a few months now as a way to pass the time as it is very easy watching and is great for watching in the background. I love that this show has lots of well known actors such as Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon and Wilmer Valderrama at the start of their career and its so funny seeing all of the vintage technology and clothing in the show as well however some of the humour is definitely outdated and some of the jokes are definitely not appropriate for a 2019 audience!
  2. Honest Burger- I had never been to honest burger until this month!! I know!! I went with my two friends Chiara and Poon and it was absolutely lovely 🙂 We went to the one in Holborn so I had a Holborn burger which is a beef burger with Parma Ham and Mozzarella 🙂 I love that each restaurant has its own burger which means that no visit to Honest Burger will be the same 🙂
  3. I Don’t Care with Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber- I am a big fan of Ed Sheeran and have been for many years since his first album + and have seen him grow into an international superstar. I am so excited for the rest of the songs on his new album of collaborations 🙂
  4. May Myself and I- As previously mentioned in many posts I am a a big fan of Carries so I have been absolutely loving her daily video project in May called May, Myself and I where every day she has been posting a video based off a word prompt 🙂 Every day has been bringing something new and exciting and I love the idea because it means that other people can join in as well because she posted the word prompts a few days before 🙂

March Favourites 2019 :)

March Favourites 2019 :)

Six The Musical- My friend Ellie actually recommended this show to me when I went round there one evening and since then I have been listening to it constantly! My three favourite songs are Ex-Wives, No Way, Don’t Lose Your Head, and Six. I love their performance at West End Live- Millie Connell who plays Anne Boleyn is absolutely amazing 🙂

Sucker- The Jonas Brothers: I loved the Jonas Brothers during their Camp Rock Disney days and then after when they started their music career. Although I love Nicks solo music and also DNCE I’m so happy that they are back together and loved #LateLateJonas.

Captain Marvel- On the 22nd of March I went to see the cinema to see Captain Marvel and I absolutely loved it! I love that this film is all about Female Empowerment and I also loved the storyline and going back to the start of the MCU and filling a few mysteries along the way such as what happened to Nick Furys eye. The Post Credit Scene made me so excited for Avengers Endgame which is coming out in April.

Heathers The Musical UK Cast Recording- I actually went to see Heathers twice throughout it run and absolutely loved it and wrote a blog post about it which can be found here. One of the reasons I enjoyed Heathers so much was the music so I was so excited when the Heathers Cast Recording was announced 🙂

February Favourites

February Favourites

Big cats about the house- This was a new show on BBC 2 where a keeper from The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent hand-reared a baby Jaguar called Maya in his house!! He then looked after a 5 month old cheetah called Willow who is absolutely adorable! It also followed Miles as he ventured all over the world to visit different animal sanctuaries and other conservation projects.

The Secret Life Of A Zoo- This show follows the lives of the animals at Chester Zoo- I believe this was the seventh season of the show and I love the fact that they have continued to do the show for seven seasons because it means that viewers get to know the animals and become involved in their stories 🙂

One day at a time S3- I absolutely loved the first two seasons of this show and it feels like I have been waiting for Season 3 for ages! I love the fact that the show takes place over a year of the characters life so you get to see real change within the characters and their problems. This seasons main running theme was addiction which we saw through both Alex and Schneider in very different ways. The show also deals with mental health and lots of other issues.

Hayley Kiyoko- I actually went to see Hayley Kiyoko with Hannah near the start of the month and I absolutely loved it 🙂 She was an amazing performer and danced around the stage the whole time! I wanted to go see her in October but couldn’t get tickets so I’m so happy she decided to do an encore tour in Europe 🙂

Wonder Woman Podcast- This is a brand new podcast which came out at the start of the month and features Carrie Hope Fletcher who I have been a fan of for a few years now and also Celinde Schoenmaker. The podcast focuses on badass women and telling their story 🙂

Ralph Breaks the Internet- I loved Wreck it Ralph and the entire concept so was so excited to see the sequel and where Ralph and Vanellopes story went after the first movie. This movie is full of little cameos including Stan Lee and Miranda Sings. It also features most if not all of the Disney Princesses which was so cool!
