Shopping for my Best Friend on Depop :)

Shopping for my Best Friend on Depop :)

When Hannah came round in July for a Summer Picnic we were discussing various things and the subject of Depop came up because she was wearing a dress that she had brought from Depop πŸ™‚ We then decided that it would be a really fun idea to shop for each other on Depop and see how well the other person knew our style as Hannah had recently seen a video of Maria titled Dressing my friend! First we would sent 5 inspiration photos to each other of the kind of things we liked and then the other person would pick 3 Depop outfits that matched that style that they liked and then we would pick 1 or 2 to buy and try on πŸ™‚

These are the Inspiration photos that I received from Hannah πŸ™‚

I then had to search on Depop for similar items/items with the same styling/clothes that I thought she would like πŸ™‚ We had sent each other our measurements so could narrow it down by size and style and so I went through and saved a bunch of clothes which I thought would work and then went from there πŸ™‚

I then went through and narrowed down the clothes and picked my final three which were these three: A red dress, a blue striped Hollister dress and a white top with a pair of black shorts to be paired together into an outfit πŸ™‚

I then showed them to Hannah who picked the Blue striped Hollister dress which I think was a great choice πŸ™‚ I’m so happy she liked one of the options and maybe we can give this a go again in the future πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments how you think I did and be sure to check out Hannahs blog and her post about the clothes she picked out for me…. Spoiler alert she did really well!!

A Day in my life: Twickenham day 1.8.20 :)

A Day in my life: Twickenham day 1.8.20 :)

On the 1st of August I met my friend Hannah https://justhannahhere.wordpress.com/at Twickenham station for a day of photoshoots, laughter and food πŸ™‚ She had recently moved into a flat there with her boyfriend and I hadn’t been able to go up and see her or her flat yet due to lockdown so we arranged for me to meet her there for lunch nearby her flat and we could walk along the river where there were lots of nice photo-opportunities and I could see where she lived as well πŸ™‚ We acted as each other photographers for the day which was such a lot of fun πŸ™‚

When I first got there we wandered along the high street and along the river towards the pub where we wanted to go for lunch scoping out nice places to take photos along the way for us to circle back to πŸ™‚ The lunch was so nice and we were both absolutely stuffed by the end!

After lunch we wandered along and found a lovely street with some really nice houses similar to Notting Hill so we thought we would stop and take some Notting Hill type photos πŸ™‚

The second stop on the photoshoot tour was a gorgeous pond where we decided to do a Princess and the Frog style photoshoot πŸ™‚

After our Princess and the Frog style photoshoot we wandered along to a beautiful building which we think was being used for a wedding because after we finished loads of people came out wearing really fancy clothes πŸ™‚

After the photos around the house we then wandered along to the river and took some photos along there and then popped into Cafe Nero for a drink before heading to Hannahs flat πŸ™‚

After the much needed cold drink from Cafe Nero we then wandered to Hannahs flat via her local park which was so nice and her flat was absolutely lovely πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to go back to and have another explore of Twickenham and ofc see Hannah again πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments where your favourite place to take photos is πŸ™‚

Winter Wonderland 2017

Winter Wonderland 2017

Every year for the past 3 years my friend Hannah and I have been to Winter Wonderland so this year was no exception and our friend Anna came along with us last year and came along again this year πŸ™‚ My blog post from last years Winter Wonderland can be found here:Β https://gracethoroughgoodbeauty.wordpress.com/2016/12/22/christmas-2016/

When we arrive at winter wonderland we always walk in staring at the massive wheel which looks so cool πŸ™‚

After taking some photos of the wheel we went along and had a look at some of the stalls who sell stuff from Christmas jumpers to candle holders and Christmas baubles so it’s always really nice to have a shop and explore πŸ™‚

As well as shopping Winter Wonderland has lots of rides for people to go on including roller coasters, haunted houses, carousels and giant swings πŸ™‚ We didn’t go on any of the rides this year but it’s always fun to see all the cool lights and enjoy the atmosphere πŸ™‚

After walking around Winter Wonderland once and exploring we were very very cold so decided to find some hot drinks to warm us up πŸ™‚ Every year at Winter Wonderland we usually get a hot chocolate but this year I found a stall selling White Chocolate hot chocolates!!! It tasted like melted white chocolate and next year I will definitely be on the look out for it again!!

After our hot chocolates we realised we hadn’t found the Winter Wonderland arches so went off in search of them but instead found some Christmas trees πŸ˜‚

Finally we came across the famous Winter Wonderland Christmas arches, they have them every year and all over Instagram there are photos of the arches so we couldn’t help but try and find them and take some photos πŸ™‚

After this we were all very tired so grabbed some churros because it’s not Winter Wonderland without churros and headed home πŸ™‚

Overall I still love Winter Wonderland as much as I did when I first went and I would highly recommend a trip to Hyde Park to go if you’re around London- I know I’ll be going again next year πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Winter Wonderland πŸ™‚

Copenhagen 2017

Copenhagen 2017

On the 10th of October 2017 my flatmate Su knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to go to Copenhagen for the weekend at some point in November- because I have a Monday and a Friday off this term I immediately said yes! Within an hour it was all booked up for the weekend of the 3rd- 6th of November πŸ™‚

On the 3rd we had to wake up super early because we had a flight from Stanstead Airport at 8.45am so we had to leave our flat at 5.30am 😦 We got the tube to Liverpool Street, Stanstead express from Liverpool street to the airport, grabbed a Starbucks because the festive drinks had just come out and boarded the plane πŸ™‚

When we arrived in Copenhagen we bought metro tickets and headed to the AirBNB that we would be staying in for the next few days- the AirBNB was lovely and about as big as our 4 person flat in london!! We spoke to the host about what to do in Copenhagen and they said to make sure we went to a place called Tivoli which we had been led to believe was closed. After unpacking our suitcases we jumped back on the metro and headed to central copenhagen to find Tivoli Amusement Park πŸ™‚

We arrived at Tivoli, bought an unlimited ride pass and wow did we use it! We went on the carousel, the dragon boats, the astronomer, the star flyer, the galley ships, the mine, the monsoon, the bumper cars and the roller coaster. Our absolute favourite was the star flyer, although you were very high and being swung around therefore it was absolutely freezing the view was breathtaking and because the ride was set up so that it felt like you were flying on a broomstick my friend and I sung Defying Gravity at the tops of our voices whilst on the ride πŸ˜›

After all of the rides we grabbed some food and watched a light show on the river where the water would light up different colours and there were fireworks which was really cool πŸ™‚ Tivoli gardens was absolutely amazing and if you ever find yourself in Copenhagen I would highly recommend it although maybe not on the day you fly because by the time we finally crawled into bed at around Midnight we were absolutely shattered!!

The next day we had a lie in because we were both knackered from the day before but when we finally woke up we grabbed some breakfast and jumped on the metro towards NyHaven which was the most beautiful waterfront and street I had ever seen!! The houses were all gorgeous colours and Hans Christian Anderson lived in one of the houses which was really cool πŸ™‚

After looking around Nyhaven we decided it was time for a very late lunch so we went to this lovely restaurant called Geist which I would highly reccomend if you are ever in Copenhagen and has the most AMAZING candyfloss which looked like a cloud!

After lunch we walked for around half an hour stopping to shop and have a look around and finally came across the famous Little Mermaid from the Hans Christian anderson fairytale. It was a lot smaller than you would think but was still really cool to see πŸ™‚

After the Little Mermaid statue we headed back to our AirBnB and ended up cooking dinner there and then watched a sing along version of Pitch Perfect :p

On our last full day in Copenhagen we got up, had breakfast and then headed off to an area of Copenhagen called Norreport which has cool shopping, museums and a castle!! Our first stop was the Rosenborg castle which was absolutely beautiful πŸ™‚ We then did some shopping and walked along to the National Museums which includes a zooological and geological museum and the botanical gardens πŸ™‚

After the museums we then went to a food market which was really cool and had a delicious Duck sandwich for dinner and then it was time to head back to the AirBnb.

Our final day was spent packing in the morning and then we headed to another Copenhagen castle called the Christiansborg Palace after which it was time to head to the airport for our flight home 😦

Overall I absolutely loved my time in Copenhagen and I had such a blast πŸ™‚ I’m so happy I said yes when my flatmate knocked on my door a month ago and it’s an experience I will never forget πŸ™‚
