New York Haul

New York Haul

At the end of November I was lucky enough to go on holiday with my Mum to New York which was amazing πŸ™‚ While I was there I did a fair amount of shopping so I thought I would do a haul of all of the stuff I bought whilst I was there πŸ™‚

As mentioned in my two previous blog posts I am a massive musical theatre nerd so while I was there I found a musical theatre shop called Theatre Circle which was a musical theatre nerds dreamland. While I was there I picked up a few cds and some show programmes πŸ™‚

In the UK we don’t have a Bath and Body Works so I was so excited to do a Bath and Body works haul especially as they had all of their seasonal candles πŸ™‚ I picked up quite a few candles and some skincare/body stuff in my favourite scent Winter Candy Apple πŸ™‚ I absolutely love Bath and body works and will definitely be returning if I am lucky enough to go to New York again πŸ™‚

The final store I went into was Sephora which is another store that is not in the UK 😦 I have been to Sephora before but not for ages and I have never been during the Christmas season where all of the different brands have their festive collections πŸ™‚ I bought two eyeshadow palettes and a few other bits ❀

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to New York and if you have what stores were your favourites πŸ™‚

Christmas decor 😊

Christmas decor 😊

I love decorating for Christmas and am always bugging my mum to put up the Christmas tree as early as possible πŸ˜‚ this year we did two artificial trees with one in the living room and one in the dining room πŸŽ„

In my bedroom I always put up a small Christmas tree and last year when I was in my flat I bought Christmas bedding to make my room feel more festive so this year I decided that I would use that again 😊

Graduation!!

Graduation!!

This year in July I graduated from university from the RVC with a degree in Bioveterinary Science. On the 5th of July (the day before my birthday) I went up to the Southbank Centre for my graduation ceremony 😊 it was an amazing day that I will never forget πŸ’• after three years of hard work I had finally done it!! I went up early in the day to get my gown and take the official photo before going into the actual ceremony 😊 the ceremony was amazing but kind of a total blur! It felt surreal as I never thought this day would come. I managed not to trip walking up the stairs in my heels and after the actual ceremony I found my friends for some unofficial photos and to find my family for a nice dinner 😊 It was an amazing day spent with friends and family 😊

A few days later and it was time for my graduation ball 😊 I met my friends Ellie and Ria so that we could get ready together and then head off. After a nice dinner and some drinks we took some photos in the photobooth and then danced the night away 😊 it was an amazing night with my friends after three years of hard work and I hope I will continue to be friends with Ria and Ellie and everyone else for a long time 😊

Vlogmasses I’m watching this year πŸ˜Š

Vlogmasses I’m watching this year πŸ˜Š

1. Zoella – Β Zoella is one of the first people I watched on youtube and who everyone always associates with Vlogmas as she makes no secret of her love of Christmas.Β Her vlogs are always really long which is perfect for a cosy christmassy night in 😊 She decorates her house really early and always watches lots of christmas films and does lots of christmas themed shopping!

2. Alisha Marie – I always enjoy watching Alisha’s vlogmas videos as she is such a christmassy person that she gets me so excited! Her vlogmas intros are always AMAZING, usually include her adorable dog Chloe and are the thing that make her stand out from the others and I always get super excited when I realise that her video is up so I can see what she has done this year for her intro. I usually like to get in the Christmas mood by binge watching her last years vlogmas when its nearing the end of November 😊

3. Mark Ferris – Mark ferris is one of Zoe’s closest friends and also has a great love of Christmas 😊 he recently moved into a new flat so I’m very excited for all of his Christmas decor!

4. Ashley Nicole – Ashley is Alisha’s sister and also lives with Alisha so it is really cool seeing the two different perspectives of the same day and the two different routines mesh together 😊

5. Niki DeMar- Niki has a main channel called Niki and Gabi with her twin sister but I absolutely love seeing Niki on her side channel as she is so funny and is often at cool events 😊 she has an infectious love of Christmas and can often be found looking at Christmas decor with her boyfriend Nate and Alisha in Target πŸ˜‚

6. RemLife – I have only recently started to get into Remi’s vlogs but Remi has such an infectious positivity that it’s hard not to want to watch her at this time of year 😊 She can also be found hanging out with Alisha filming their podcast pretty basic or Christmas shopping 😊

I finally saw Demi Lovato live!!!

I finally saw Demi Lovato live!!!

On the 25th of June I finally got to go and see one of my favourite artists Demi Lovato in concert! I have been a fan of Demi since Camp Rock and have followed her acting and singing career ever since including her personal struggles with mental health which she is always very open about. Demi is based in America so is hardly ever in the UK but after following her career for 10 years I finally saw her in concert at the O2 😊 she was absolutely amazing and definitely lived up to my expectations 😊 I absolutely love her album Tell Me You Love Me and danced the night away while singing at the top of my lungs (I had no voice the next morning which was not great as I was travelling to Dorset with my friend to stay for a week but it was definitely worth it πŸ’•) I wish Demi a speedy recovery and hope she can return to what she loves doing when she feels ready ❀️

Kingly Court, Oxford Street and Carnaby Street πŸ’•

Kingly Court, Oxford Street and Carnaby Street πŸ’•

Yesterday I met my friend Dorothy in Oxford Street for some food and shopping because I hadn’t seen her in ages and it was her birthday at the end of November 😊 we did some shopping and looked at the Oxford Street lights which are always beautiful and then wandered along Carnaby Street where the Christmas lights this year are based on the film Bohemian Rhapsody 😊

We then wandered along to Kingly Court where they have gorgeous lights and quite a few nice restaurants 😊 we ended up in a restaurant called Whyte and Brown where they sell free range chicken and halloumi burgers!

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Kingly Court or have seen the Carnaby Street lights this year 😊

My top 5 Christmas Hallmark/Netflix movies

My top 5 Christmas Hallmark/Netflix movies
  1. A Christmas Prince- This film was released last Christmas and it became a bit of a cult classic, it is cheesy, funny and tells the story of a journalist who is looking for her big break but gets caught up in the middle of a royal scandal as she pretends to be a teacher for the princess. Rose Mciver who also stars in IZombie is a great actress and is fantastic in this role 😊
  2. The Princess Switch- Two women, a baker and a duchess, bump into each other at a baking competition and decide to switch lives for a few days before Christmas as they look exactly alike. This movie is very cheesy and it’s for that exact reason that I love it! Starring Vanessa Hudgens who I have been a fan of since High School Musical this Netflix original is a definite holiday must see for any rom com fans 😊 img_0049
  3. The Holiday Calendar- I am absolutely loving the Netflix holiday originals this year and this film is no exception 😊 starring Kat Graham this film follows a woman who receives a calendar from her grandpa which seemingly has powers of predicting the future. This film is extremely cheesy and is again one of my holiday must sees this year.img_0050
  4. Holiday Joy- Joy is part of a big family and helps her single dad out around the house, she sees the family across the road with an only child and seemingly perfect life and her Christmas wish is to be part of that family but when she sees her family fall apart without her and realises that perhaps the grass isn’t greener on the other side can she reverse her wish before it’s too late? This classic story has been revamped with a Christmas theme and as a fan of Bailee Madison I absolutely love this movie πŸ’•

5. Christmas Inheritance- A spoiled heiress dubbed the ‘party heiress’ must deliver the family Christmas letter to the small town where her dad grew up but the catch is that she can’t tell anyone who she is. Will she be able to complete her task and learn the important lessons that the smalltown has to offer. A Christmas twist on a classic story like this movie is the right mix of cheesy, moving and funny.
