On the 9th of July 2020 I uploaded my Month 1 aims for my Changing my life series and now I’ve just finished Chapter 14 of my Changing My Life series and am very excited to get started on my Chapter 15 aims 🙂 Chapter 14 has been focused on getting back into the swing of life after Christmas and New Year 🙂
Favourite quote of the month: It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live
Restrictions in the UK have been lifted for a while now which has been so nice 🙂 I have seen a few friends since my last post, celebrated Christmas and New Years and have also been doing lots of organising e.g. sorting out my room, writing New Years resolutions, packing away Christmas presents and decor and also cooking lots of new dishes 🙂
- Cook new things and bake :)- I have been cooking lots since the last post due to the fact that we get Hello Fresh delivered every week so have been cooking around 3 times a week which is so much fun 🙂 Some of my favourite dishes that I have made include: Harissa Chicken and Roasted Cauliflower, Chicken fried rice, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Thai Style Pork Bowl, Chorizo and Mozzarella Gnocchi, Harissa Chicken Naans, Butter Chicken Masala, BBQ Beef Rigatoni. I also baked some Gingerbread as a Christmas treat 🙂

- Complete my Christmas Bucket List: I actually did manage to complete my Christmas bucket list which was a lot of fun 🙂 I had lots of different Christmassy things on that list which really got me into the Christmas spirit 🙂
- Spend time with friends and family- I spent some time with a few friends this month and last including going to Lifesize Monopoly with my two best friends and also going to flight club with friends 🙂 I spent quite a bit of time with family over the Christmas period as well which was lovely as we didn’t get the chance to do that last year due to Covid restrictions 🙂

- Start making a financial plan: I have a few plans for this year with regards to finances and I have done a few different bits to help me along the way but obviously for security reasons I’m not going to talk too much about this 🙂
- Pack away all of my Christmas decorations and Christmas presents: I actually spent the day on the 2nd of January packing away all of my Christmas decor which took me a very long time

- Start a New Years workout plan: I have been climbing a few times with my brother and its been a lot of fun 🙂 I have also been back at work since the New Year which always involves lots of walking and movement 🙂 I usually do around 15,000 steps a day at work but some days its slightly more or slightly less but I would like to add more workout ideas during the rest of the year.

- Get back into the flow at work after Christmas: I have been back at work since the 4th of January and have definitely started to get back into the swing of things 🙂 I would love to watch a few more work videos next month and also carry on learning different things 🙂
- Update my CV and Linkedin: I updated my Linkedin before Christmas but have yet to actually update my CV so thats something that I will add to my list of aims for next month 🙂
I have had such a lot of fun these last few months working through my goals of starting to sort my life out through the start of the New Year and am hoping that by the end of this year my life will be slightly different and hopefully I will be moving in an upwards trajectory 🙂
- Cook at least twice a week
- Spend time with family and celebrate Mayas birthday
- Spend time with friends and see a show
- Update my CV and Linkedin
- Sort out my Charity shop/Depop pile
- Watch 3 work videos a week and also dog training videos
- Dye my hair
Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas for goals for the rest of the year 🙂
