On the 9th of July 2020 I uploaded my Month 1 aims for my Changing my life series and now I’ve just finished Chapter 14 of my Changing My Life series and am very excited to get started on my Chapter 15 aims 🙂 Chapter 14 has been focused on getting back into the swing of life after Christmas and New Year 🙂
Favourite quote of the month: It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live
Restrictions in the UK have been lifted for a while now which has been so nice 🙂 I have seen a few friends since my last post, celebrated Christmas and New Years and have also been doing lots of organising e.g. sorting out my room, writing New Years resolutions, packing away Christmas presents and decor and also cooking lots of new dishes 🙂
Cook new things and bake :)- I have been cooking lots since the last post due to the fact that we get Hello Fresh delivered every week so have been cooking around 3 times a week which is so much fun 🙂 Some of my favourite dishes that I have made include: Harissa Chicken and Roasted Cauliflower, Chicken fried rice, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Thai Style Pork Bowl, Chorizo and Mozzarella Gnocchi, Harissa Chicken Naans, Butter Chicken Masala, BBQ Beef Rigatoni. I also baked some Gingerbread as a Christmas treat 🙂
Complete my Christmas Bucket List: I actually did manage to complete my Christmas bucket list which was a lot of fun 🙂 I had lots of different Christmassy things on that list which really got me into the Christmas spirit 🙂
Spend time with friends and family- I spent some time with a few friends this month and last including going to Lifesize Monopoly with my two best friends and also going to flight club with friends 🙂 I spent quite a bit of time with family over the Christmas period as well which was lovely as we didn’t get the chance to do that last year due to Covid restrictions 🙂
Start making a financial plan: I have a few plans for this year with regards to finances and I have done a few different bits to help me along the way but obviously for security reasons I’m not going to talk too much about this 🙂
Pack away all of my Christmas decorations and Christmas presents: I actually spent the day on the 2nd of January packing away all of my Christmas decor which took me a very long time
Start a New Years workout plan: I have been climbing a few times with my brother and its been a lot of fun 🙂 I have also been back at work since the New Year which always involves lots of walking and movement 🙂 I usually do around 15,000 steps a day at work but some days its slightly more or slightly less but I would like to add more workout ideas during the rest of the year.
Get back into the flow at work after Christmas: I have been back at work since the 4th of January and have definitely started to get back into the swing of things 🙂 I would love to watch a few more work videos next month and also carry on learning different things 🙂
Update my CV and Linkedin: I updated my Linkedin before Christmas but have yet to actually update my CV so thats something that I will add to my list of aims for next month 🙂
I have had such a lot of fun these last few months working through my goals of starting to sort my life out through the start of the New Year and am hoping that by the end of this year my life will be slightly different and hopefully I will be moving in an upwards trajectory 🙂
Cook at least twice a week
Spend time with family and celebrate Mayas birthday
Spend time with friends and see a show
Update my CV and Linkedin
Sort out my Charity shop/Depop pile
Watch 3 work videos a week and also dog training videos
Dye my hair
Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas for goals for the rest of the year 🙂
One of the first posts on my blog was a list of some of My favourite Inspirational quotes and I absolutely loved that post 🙂 I made an update to that post about a year ago which can be found here so I thought I would update the update because there is no such thing as too much inspiration 🙂
The best way to predict the future is to create it
The best view comes after the hardest climb
Don’t worry if you’re not where you want to be yet. Great things take time.
Sometimes you never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain.
The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. Thats why they call it the present.
Just believe in yourself. Even if you don’t pretend you do and at one point, you will.
Create whatever makes a revolution in your heart.
Strive for progress, not perfection.

I saw someone on twitter the other day who in their bullet journal had written a ‘Life CV’ where they talked about some of the things they have done in their life which I thought was a really cool idea so I thought I would try it 🙂
Passed my GCSEs and A-levels and got into University 🙂
Volunteered at a Dairy Farm, London Zoo, Lambing placement and 3 different veterinary practices 🙂
Graduated university with a Bachelors of Bio-veterinary Science 🙂

A few years ago I made a Vision Board on the door of my wardrobe using photos from the Instagrams of some of the different celebrities I look up to 🙂 A few days ago I decided to update it as some of the photos had started to fade and curl in the corner so I ordered some photos from photo-box 🙂
First I took down all of my old photos, recycled them and searched on Instagram for new photos to update the wall with 🙂
A few days later the photos arrived so I spent all evening putting up the new photos
Let me know in the comments if you have a vision board yourself 🙂
Maya is now 18 months old which is crazy as it feels like only yesterday she was a tiny puppy and one of the things that I have absolutely loved doing with her is training 🙂 She is a really well behaved dog when she wants to be and one of my goals for the month is to improve my dog training so I have compiled some of the training videos that I have of Maya 🙂
Sit, Down and Stand
Paw– This is one that I absolutely love and definitely comes in handy when trying to put on her harness as you can just ask for her paw in order to slip the harness on 🙂
Bed – This is a relatively new one for Maya and I think she has come on leaps and bounds since we first started learning it 🙂 She can now go to her bed from about 6 steps away otherwise she gets distracted but we’re getting there 🙂
Hold – This is a new trick that she has been learning where she has to hold an object in her mouth which I’m hoping I will be able to expand into a fetch/retrieve 🙂
Stay- Maya can stand, sit and down stay and I would say stand stay is her worst one because we have only just started learning it however with a down stay she will stay there for around 4 minutes without moving 🙂
Leave– Maya is not very food orientated so leaving food isn’t too much of a chore for her however making her leave a toy in the middle of a game is a struggle because she is always wanting to play!
Touch– I use touch for Maya to mean that she has to touch her nose to my hand and Maya learnt touch relatively early on and it has come in really handy with learning heel-work 🙂
Twist + Spin- Twist and spin was again something Maya learnt relatively early on pretty much straight after Sit and Down and it has always been one of my favourites 🙂 I usually do it near the start of a training session to get her excited and motivated 🙂
Maya also knows Middle where she will run to the middle of your legs, heel-work + close where she will stay close to you while you walk or go to the heel-work position and is learning weave where she will weave in-between your legs and tunnel where she goes through an agility tunnel 🙂
Let me know in the comments if you have a dog and some of the tricks they can do ❤
Its been a few weeks since I updated you guys on my life working from home and its been a busy few weeks! I have been chilling with Maya, had BBQs and mojitos, have walked my mums friends dog around my birthday which I wrote a post about here 🙂 The night before my birthday my oldest brothers fiancee came round and watched Hamilton with us which was so much fun 🙂 I have met up with my friends at a park which had a lake which was so lovely, then my friend Hannah came round to have a picnic in the garden which I wrote about here and it was my Mums birthday on the 16th as well 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you have been up to the last few weeks 🙂
At the start of lockdown I decided that after thinking about it for a long long time but always having excuses that I would start running as a way of feeling healthier and stronger 🙂 I went on my first run on the 7th of April and struggled through it but was really proud of myself by the end and have continued to run at least once a week since but usually 2 or three times a week 🙂 A few weeks ago I reached my mini goal of 4k and my next goal is a 5k! I thought that I would write down some of my running goals in the form of a running bucket list as I really hope to continue running for a while at least ❤
Run with Maya in the park/through the woods 🙂
Run with a friend and don’t die!!
Run Park run with Anna ❤
Run on a beach
Get ice cream after a run 🙂
Run in a different country
Run outside/somewhere people can see you!
Run in the rain
Let me know in the comments if you are a runner and if you are what your current goal is and if you’re not what you do for exercise ❤
On the 11th of July Hannah came round to my garden for a Summer picnic and it was so nice so I thought I would put some of the photos from the day and write down some of my summer picnic essentials 🙂
Cute picnic mat and picnic basket 🙂
Summery dresses for a photoshoot 🙂
Lots and lots of food! We decided to have an afternoon tea themed picnic so had scones, sandwiches, cakes and also some fruit, crisps and potato salad as I always think that you would rather have too much food and options so you can have leftovers for the rest of the family/lunch the next day rather than wishing that you had more options/food 🙂
Let me know in the comments what you would want in your summer picnic 🙂
A few days ago Carrie Hope Fletcher made a video on her channel where her and her boyfriend Ollie were trying to name a musical for each letter of the alphabet and I thought it was such a good idea so I thought I would give it a go 🙂 I think I did pretty well although there were a few letters that I just couldn’t get!
