Selsey Weekend 2022 πŸ˜Š

Selsey Weekend 2022 πŸ˜Š

This year due to the Queens Platinum Jubilee we got a 4 day weekend so my family headed to my Nans caravan for the long weekend to spend some time together and to let Maya have a run around and a swim in the sea ❀️

On the Thursday we headed up to Selsey in Chichester. On the way through we stopped off at a sweet shop in the village which was really cool and then headed to the caravan and unpacked our stuff and headed straight to the beach 😊 Maya knew where she was immediately and ran to the gate to run onto the beach πŸ˜‚

The next day we headed into the village for some breakfast and also stopped off to get some ice cream which was delish 😍 we also saw the Selsey Seal which was so so cool!! He was chilling on the rocks to the side and we borrowed the neighbours binoculars to get a better look as well 😊

On Saturday my Dad had to come back to our hometown for a bit but my Mum and I stayed up by the beach 😊 we walked up to the village for some breakfast and then spent the rest of the day at the beach with Maya ❀️

The Sunday included a little street party for the Jubilee which was fun and then we headed back pretty soon after because we were really tired after a long few days and needed to get back and get organised 😊

It was a really lovely long weekend at the beach and Maya had a really good time I hope 🀞

Let me know in the comments what you got up to for the long bank holiday weekend 😊

Edinburgh 2022 :)

Edinburgh 2022 :)

On the 6th of March my Mum and I boarded a train from Kings Cross in London to Edinburgh Waverly πŸ™‚ I had never been to Edinburgh before but my Mum has been a few times so I was super excited! We packed ourselves a picnic for the train as it was around 6 hours but time actually flew by 😊

When we arrived in Edinburgh we headed straight to our hotel which was only 5 minutes from the train station to dump our stuff and have a think about what we wanted to do for the rest of the day- we ended up just having an explore around the immediate area, did some shopping and found the castle!!

After our little explore we headed back to the hotel to change and then headed to dinner at an Italian restaurant near our hotel called Vapiano which was absolutely delish!

The next morning we got up early and headed to Holyrood house after some breakfast which is the Palace that the Queen uses when she has engagements in Scotland including the garden party 😊 The palace is beautiful and it’s so interesting learning about all of the history as well including stories about Mary Queen of Scots

We then sat down for a hot chocolate and scone in the palace cafe which was really nice 😊

After the refreshments we decided to start heading up Arthur’s seat which is an ancient volcano that resides next to Holyrood house! It is an epic hike up to the top and we were absolutely knackered by the end but we did make it and the view was definitely worth it!

Once we had hiked back down Arthur’s seat we decided to do a bus tour for the rest of the afternoon so we could rest and also see different parts of the city that we had yet to see such as the Greyfriars Bobby inn and some of the other beautiful buildings

We then headed back to the hotel to change and go for dinner at The Ivy which was so so delish!! Neither of us have been to The Ivy in London but we spotted it at the end of the road that our hotel was on so figured why not! I had prawn tempura to start and then fish and chips for mains and then finally for dessert a chocolate bombe 😊

The next day we got up early and this time we headed to the castle which was actually only about a 10 minute walk from our hotel 😊 we did a tour of the castle and even saw the 1 o’clock gun which was really cool!!

After our tour of the castle we headed off to find some food and stumbled across a Thai restaurant which was pretty much next to the castle and it had the most amazing Pad Thai!!

After our Pad Thai we headed to Victoria street which is a street in Edinburgh which apparently inspired Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter series which is super cool!! While on that street we found two different Harry Potter themed shops which was pretty epic 😊

After our explore of the Harry Potter street we headed to The Royal Mile to try and find a deep fried Mars bar which we did actually manage to find in a fish and chip shop 😊 there was also a Christmas shop which was super cool!

After exploring Royal Mile we headed back to our hotel and then headed to a local pub for some dinner and afterwards we went to a Gin Festival which was really cool!!

On our final day we woke up and headed to a cafe for breakfast where I ordered the traditional Scottish breakfast including haggis, black pudding and lots of other delicious things 😊

After breakfast we decided to have a walk so we headed up Carlton hill which was really fun and it has some really epic monuments at the top 😊

We then headed back to our hotel, popped into M&S to grab a picnic for the train home and walked to the station 😞

It was such a lovely few days away and I really loved the city of Edinburgh 😊 I would definitely like to go back in the future as well ❀️

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been or Edinburgh and if you have where your favourite place was 😊

Selsey 2021 :)

Selsey 2021 :)

On the 28th of August my family and I packed up our car and headed to the beach in Selsey in Chichester for the weekend which was so so nice πŸ™‚ We took Maya for lots of walks, chilled on the beach, had some lovely food and had a really relaxing weekend πŸ™‚ On the way to Selsey we popped into a place called Arundel which was such a lovely town where we went for afternoon tea which was delish πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have been to Selsey or what your favourite beach in England is πŸ™‚

Windsor 2021 :)

Windsor 2021 :)

On the morning of the 7th of August I jumped on a train to meet my two friends Hannah and Anna in Windsor which was so much fun πŸ™‚ When we first arrived the changing of the guard was happening which was absolutely amazing- we didn’t realise that it would be happening at that point but it was so so cool πŸ™‚

Once the changing of the guard was finished we then went into the castle and did an audioguide which was so much fun πŸ™‚ The castle is beautiful and we had so much fun looking round and seeing all of the amazing architecture and tapestries. We also looked around St Georges Chapel and I lit a candle whilst I was in there which is something I do in all of the chapels that I go to πŸ™‚

After our tour of the castle we went for some lunch which was really tasty! We then dumped our bags in the hotel and did a bit of shopping- we are all massive book nerds so popped into Waterstones and also WHSmith because I needed to buy an IPhone charger πŸ™‚

We walked towards castle while shopping and decided to finish our sightseeing for the day by walking along The Long Walk which is a long walk (hence the name :P) where there are processions towards the castle and it was lot of fun- it is a 50 minute walk each way but we were chatting as we walked so it was really nice πŸ™‚

After the long walk we decided to go for dinner at Honest Burger which was so so delicious!! I have been to Honest Burger once in London at the Holborn branch and it was so so nice πŸ™‚ I love the fact that as well as their signature burgers they have a burger of the month and each location has its own burger πŸ™‚

After dinner we headed back to the hotel and chilled which was lovely and organised ourselves for the next day πŸ™‚

The next day we woke up and headed out for brunch πŸ™‚ We went to a place called Browns which was right next to the river so we had a lovely view while we ate our food and had some smoothies and coffee πŸ™‚ The food was delicious and it was so much fun πŸ™‚

After food we then decided to have a wander along the river, we saw some swans, chatted and saw some other cool bits along the way and it was a lovely way to end our trip πŸ™‚ We went past Alexandra Gardens and saw some really cool fountains πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Windsor and if you have what was your favourite part πŸ™‚

Friendsfest 2021 :)

Friendsfest 2021 :)

I have been wanting to go to Friendsfest for the last few years as I am a massive Friends fan!! I tentatively booked tickets for Friendsfest 2021 hoping that it would be allowed to go ahead and I am so so happy that it did πŸ™‚ I ended up going with my Mum and we had an absolutely AMAZING day πŸ™‚ When we first walked in and went to the left you started on the ‘Red Carpet’ and then moved onto the outside of Monicas door where you could re-create the iconic ‘floating heads scene’ which was so so much fun! Then you moved onto a selfie booth where they had lots of different signs with different quotes from the show πŸ™‚ Finally there was Phoebes taxi which was pretty cool πŸ™‚

We then moved onto Central Perk where there were three different official photo points and then ordered some hot chocolates and a blueberry muffin which was absolutely delish πŸ™‚ At this point we sat down to enjoy our drinks and food which was really nice- what I liked about Friendsfest and why it was able to go ahead as successfully as it did was because it was outside πŸ™‚

We then moved onto the next photo opportunity where you could recreate the title scenes, then we recreated the PIVOT scene which was so much fun and so funny! Then I did the “COULD I BE ANY MORE CLOTHES” scene which was so so cool and was done via green screen to make the experience more Covid friendly πŸ™‚

We then went for lunch and grabbed a slice of Pizza at Joeys Pizza and also went to the bar to get some cocktails πŸ™‚ The cocktails were all Friends themed which was really cool and they also had soft drinks and normal alcoholic beverages as well πŸ™‚ We then sat in front of the big screen which was really cool and they played some of the iconic scenes from the show πŸ™‚

Finally we had booked a Set Tour at 2.40 where you could do round and take photos in the three different apartments: Monica and Rachels, Chandler and Joey and then Ross/Ugly Naked Guys apartment πŸ™‚

Overall I had so so so much fun and I would highly recommend Friendsfest to any Friends fan πŸ™‚

My 24th Birthday :)

My 24th Birthday :)

On Sunday 4th of July 2021 I turned 24 years old and I had such a nice time πŸ™‚ This will be the last year that I can say I am in my early twenties which definitely adds lots of pressure on me to get my life together as I head into my mid twenties! When I was younger I always thought that people in their early-mid twenties had everything together and were so grown up but now I’m at that point in my life and through talking to friends my age I can confirm that we’re all just making it up as we go along attempting to look like we know what we’re doing! Anyway quarter life crisis aside I had a lovely birthday weekend and I thought I would share on here what I got up to πŸ™‚ Thank you so much to all of my friends and family who made it so so special ❀ ❀

On the Saturday I went out for an afternoon tea to Fortnum and Masons with my Mum and my friend Barghavi which was so so lovely! The food was amazing and everyone there was so sweet πŸ™‚ I have wanted to go to afternoon tea at Fortnum and Masons for so long ever since my Mum went with her friend and bought back a slice of cake which we then ate that evening and it was one of the best slices of cake I have ever eaten so I was very very excited and it definitely lived up to my expectations πŸ™‚

After eating our body weight in cake, scones and sandwiches we headed to Camden which is one of my favourite places in London πŸ™‚ I love Camden because it has lots of different stalls and everytime I go I find a different stall that wasn’t there last time and that has amazing stuff that is right up my alley πŸ™‚

On the Sunday I spent the day chilling at home with my family and Barghavi which was so nice and needed after the busy day on the Saturday πŸ™‚ My Nan and Grandad popped round which was such a nice surprise because obviously with the pandemic I haven’t been able to see them as much as I would like so it made the day even more special being able to see them for some birthday cake πŸ™‚ My Aunt and Uncle also popped round and then later in the evening my brother Billy and his girlfriend came round for dinner and we ordered Wagamama πŸ™‚ I was also messaging friends throughout the day which was also so nice πŸ™‚

Overall I had an amazing birthday weekend and I can thank everyone who made it special enough πŸ™‚ The next post going up on this blog will be a What I Got For My Birthday so keep an eye out for that πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments what you would do on your perfect birthday weekend celebration πŸ™‚

My life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 10 recap and Chapter 11 aims :)

My life is changing and I’m going to keep you updated: Chapter 10 recap and Chapter 11 aims :)

On the 9th of July 2020 I uploaded my Month 1 aims for my Changing my life series and now I’ve just finished Chapter 10 of my Changing My Life series and am very excited to get started on my Chapter 11 aims πŸ™‚ Chapter 10 has been really focused on seeing friends in a Covid friendly way and GYSTING and organising my space and also quite a bit of photography πŸ™‚

Favourite quote of the month: Live a life that would make you jealous πŸ™‚

This month restrictions in the UK have started to lift even more with restaurants re-opening inside which has been amazing because the weather hasn’t been the best throughout the month of May unfortunately 😦 Restaurants being open inside has meant that I have been able to meet up with a few friends that I haven’t seen in over a year in a Covid safe way which has been lovely and have also been able to carry on with some of the creative ways I have been interacting with friends and family who I can’t see in person for example- book clubs with one of my friends, and doing Yoga classes and then chatting about them with my brother πŸ™‚ Next month I will be going back to work after a year and a half off which is amazing and I’m very excited about that πŸ™‚

  • Cook 1 new thing per week and also bake something new this month :)- I have actually managed to do this and more this month which has been so so much fun πŸ™‚ I baked some chocolate cookies early in the month using a cookie packet that I got from Barghavi for Christmas so I wanted to use it before it was out of date πŸ™‚ I used the penguin cookie cutter that came with the packet and they came out so so cute! The first thing I made from Hello Fresh was Thai Style Beef which was delish πŸ™‚ I also made a Chicken and spinach curry and chicken noodles that week πŸ™‚ The next week I made a Bacon and Butternut Squash risotto which was amazing and also a chicken curry which was so nice! The next week I made a pork ragu followed by a Chickpea curry which was my least favourite of the curries I made this month πŸ™‚ The Thursday of that week was my Dads birthday so I made Hoisin style Beef which was AMAZING!! SO GOOD! In the last week of May I made a Chicken and Plum stir fry and a Mexican style beef Pasta bake πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
  • Continue working out regularly and do Yoga 5 times a week :)- I have been slacking slightly on my workouts this month and on my Yoga- I have done four runs this month and been on the I-FIT 5 times throughout the month but I would have liked to run a bit more so I’m going to try and get back into running next month πŸ™‚ I started off the month strong doing yoga 5 times a week but slowly but surely it dwindled off because my brother has been busy and I am not attempting to do a challenge at the moment but I’m going to try and get back into it next month πŸ™‚
  • Continue sorting out my bedroom and GYSTING :)- The first thing I did GYSTing wise was take two of my outfits to the dry cleaners to be altered- the jumpsuit needed a zip put in at the back and the buttons at the front sewn up and the dungarees needed taking up because I am small πŸ˜› The next thing I did was sort out my bedroom wall as I wanted to put up three Displates that I ordered which I am so so happy with and also add my small displate to the HP section of that wall πŸ™‚ They look AMAZING and I love them πŸ™‚ I then updated my CD collection because I had a few new ones which needed homes so I had a bit of a sort out πŸ™‚ The final part of my sort out was to sort out my bathroom drawer as it was an absolute mess!
  • See my friends and also celebrate my Dad’s birthday :)- I have been to see lots of friends this month! The first lot of friends I saw were Chiara and Poon who were my flatmates in my third year of university πŸ™‚ I hadn’t seen them since early 2020 so it was so so nice to see them and catch up πŸ™‚ I went for an afternoon tea in a garden centre for lunch with my Mum which was so nice πŸ™‚ On the 16th of May I went out with my friends Ria and Ellie which was so much fun and we went for a Roast dinner πŸ™‚ On the 20th of May its my Dads birthday so we celebrated with some presents, got Maya dressed up and chilled and had dinner with my brothers the next day which was lovely to get the whole family back together πŸ™‚ On the 21st I went out with my friend Hannah to London and we went to the Sky Gardens and then for lunch at Elan Cafe which is gorg and then on the 29th Hannah and I went to the Selfie factory, Hampstead heath and then to a Rose Festival in Covent Garden πŸ™‚ The next day I met up with my friend Dorothy for lunch in Wembley which was so nice and then on the last day of May I went to Selsey which is a beach where my Nan has a caravan for the day πŸ™‚ Throughout May I also met up with my two friend Birunda and Barghavi and did various things with them as well πŸ™‚
  • Write up a chapter of my Nans travel diary πŸ™‚ – I managed to write about my Great Grandmas adventures in Cyprus in January 1972 which sounded absolutely incredible πŸ™‚ The few places I managed to write about included Kyrenia, Salamis, Trikoma, Lefkosa and Famagusta πŸ™‚
  • Complete 4 work webinars, continue watching work and training videos and take Maya to puppy class and teach her a new trick :)- I have been working with Maya on her training which has been so much fun- she has gone back to puppy class this month which she has really enjoyed and then we also have been working on her weave which is so cool πŸ™‚ She has had lots of other dogs round this month as well for playdates which has been so much fun πŸ™‚ I have also watched lots of webinars, work videos and training videos πŸ™‚
  • Reach 1650 followers, do a photoshoot and also watch some camera videos :)- I did actually reach 1650 followers a few weeks ago which is absolutely AMAZING and I’m so grateful to everyone who reads my posts and follows me ❀ I didn’t get around to watching any photography videos however I did manage to do two photoshoots with my friend Hannah πŸ™‚ We did one day of photoshoots in the Sky Gardens and around that area and then the week after we went to the Selfie Factory and then Hampstead heath πŸ™‚

I have had such a lot of fun these last few months working through my goals and sorting my life out and am so ready to continue on this trajectory and get more goals done next month πŸ™‚

  • Cook 1 new thing per week
  • Continue working out regularly and re-start my yoga journey
  • Continue sorting out my bedroom, go through my make-up and GYSTing
  • See my friends, Skype Hannah and Anna and celebrate fathers day
  • Complete the Cyprus chapter of my Nans travel diary πŸ™‚
  • Go back to work and get back into my work flow, continue watching work and training videos and take Maya to puppy class πŸ™‚
  • Reach 1700 followers on my blog and watch some photography videos

Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas for goals for next month πŸ™‚

Day in the Life: Brighton Day :)

Day in the Life: Brighton Day :)

On the 27th of April my Mum and I decided to go to Brighton for the day which was so so so much fun πŸ™‚ I absolutely love Brighton and consider it my home away from home πŸ™‚ We packed up our bags and headed to the beach just after 9am with Maya in the backseat attached to her seatbelt who was very confused why we were awake and out of the house so early! When we finally arrived in Brighton we parked and walked along the beach for a bit, grabbed some donuts and then kept walking until we reached the bandstand which is one of my personal favourite places in Brighton because its just so pretty πŸ™‚ We then headed back along the beach and grabbed some food with Maya asleep under the table because she was absolutely knackered out from all of the excitement of the morning! We then spent the next few hours shopping in the lanes- we found Lush, a Pet Emporium, Lucy and Yak, sweet shops and a few other little shops which was so much fun πŸ™‚ By this time it was around 3 o’clock so we headed back to the beach, bought some ice cream to eat and sat down watching the ocean which was so so nice πŸ™‚

Overall it was such a lovely day as we were really lucky and it was relatively warm but not very busy and I really hope we get to do it again in the next few weeks πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Brighton and if you have what is your favourite place in Brighton πŸ™‚ If not then where is your favourite beach πŸ™‚

Day in the life: Mayas 2nd Birthday :)

Day in the life: Mayas 2nd Birthday :)

On the 2nd of February 2021 my dog Maya turned 2 so I thought I would throw her a little party to celebrate 😊 I had wrapped up loads of toys and treats for her and my friend Barghavi also popped round to see us (in our games room with the back doors open) which was so lovely πŸ™‚ I gathered together all of her presents and arranged them with some balloons I had bought and some banners on the door πŸ™‚ We then took her out for a long walk at the woods which she absolutely loved and then came back to give her a little cake called a woofin πŸ™‚ I had also made her some homemade biscuits from a pre-made mix that Barghavi had bought me for Christmas which was awesome πŸ™‚ I think Maya had a lovely day and I certainly did πŸ™‚

Day in my life: Snow day with Maya :)

On the 24th of January I woke up to a layer of snow over the garden which is so so exciting!! It was the first time that Maya had seen snow which was so much fun and we went out to the garden to have a play and then my family and I took her to the park near us for a walk and grabbed some hot chocolates on the way πŸ™‚ I’m one of those weird people who absolutely LOVE snow so I had such a fun day πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments whether you love or hate the snow and why πŸ™‚
