Concert Tag <3

Concert Tag <3

On the 24th of October I went to see Dodie Clark live at the Koko Arena with my best friend Hannah (hi if ur reading this <3) and it reminded me how much I love concerts so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to do the concert tag πŸ™‚

1. How many concerts have you been to? I have lost count- I don’t think many things can compare to the feeling of going to a concert and seeing someone performing ur favourite songs live and hearing the crowd sing and dance along- the atmosphere is electric and ever since my first concert I will always try and go to a concert every few months if I can especially in the last few years πŸ™‚
2. Which artist/band have you seen the most live? Probably Jessie J or 5 Seconds of Summer
3. First concert you went to? Miley Cyrus on her Wonder World Tour in 2009 so I would have been around 12- I don’t have any photos of the concert unfortunately but I do have a photo of my friend and I after the concert πŸ™‚Β DSC00217Β 4. Last concert you went to? Dodie Clark which as I’m writing this was last night- this is the 3rd time I’ve seen Dodie perform and each time she just gets better and better πŸ™‚Β
5. What is your next concert? I don’t think I have one booked- I know Demi Lovato is going on tour in the UK quite soon so hopefully her πŸ™‚
6. The farthest you’ve traveled to go to a concert? I travelled to Belgium with my cousin to see 5 Seconds of Summer and to experience their soundcheck which was AMAZING πŸ™‚

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
7. Best opening act you’ve seen? A band called the Sykes who were really good πŸ™‚
8. Have you met any bands/artists at a concert? Yes- I met Against the current, Bethan Leadley and Jessie J πŸ™‚

9. What’s one thing you have to bring to a concert? My phone so that I can take photos πŸ™‚
10. Have you ever caught a guitar pick, drumstick, got a setlist, etc.? I was given the setlist when I went to an ATC concert last year πŸ™‚
11. Who do you enjoy going to concerts with? The one person who I always go to concerts is Hannah because we have very similar music tastes and always have a blast ❀
12. Have you been to multiple dates for one tour? Yes for both Jessie J and 5 Seconds of Summer- 5SOS during their Sounds Live Feels Live tour and Jessie J during her Alive tour which were both incredible.

13. Have you been to concerts 2 or more days in a row? Yes- I went to see 5SOS twice in a row.
14. Have you been front row for a concert? Taylor Swift at Hyde Park- we managed to get right up to the barrier and had to stay there all day- we were very tired and hungry by the end of the day but the view was worth it πŸ™‚Β
15. Have you ever gotten sick, bruised, or broken a bone at a concert? Luckily No- fingers crossed I never do!!

Let me know in the comments who you have been to see in concert πŸ™‚

Durham 2017

Durham 2017

For the last 2 years my friend Hannah and I have talked about going up to Durham to see our other friend Anna but never got round to it….. until last weekend!! As we are all in our last year of university we figured it was now or never so booked our train tickets and packed up our stuff. On the 11th of November after an early start and a starbucks we boarded the 4 hour train to Durham with smiling faces πŸ™‚

We arrived in Durham midday so Anna met us at the station and we walked to her house where she had made us a lovely lunch of bagels, fruit, biscuits and crisps and I tried my very first crisp sandwich which was actually really good!! After lunch we then decided to explore Durham with Anna as our tour guide. We headed along the river towards the cathedral πŸ™‚

We then arrived at the cathedral and decided to explore because I have never been to Durham before and part of Harry potter was filmed there!!! I actually stood where some of the actors would have stood!! It was so cool to see and although I am not religious I love looking at cathedrals as they are always so grand and beautiful πŸ™‚

After looking around the cathedral we went back to my friends house and got changed ready for the evening πŸ™‚ We then went to a restaurant called Tango and had AMAZING burgers πŸ™‚ I had one called the Tango burger which was a beef burger with crispy onion strings and bacon πŸ™‚

After dinner we then went to one of the student bars which was actually in Durham castle which was really cool!! Its not very often that you get to say that you had drinks in a castle! We then moved on to one of the other bars for a little while before going to bed because we were all knackered!

The next morning we woke up slightly late and decided to go to brunch at an independent coffee place called treats- I had the traditional english breakfast which was really nice πŸ™‚

After brunch it was time to walk back to the house, grab our stuff and get our train back to London 😦 Overall it was an absolutely lovely weekend and even though it was a flying visit it was one I will never forget πŸ™‚ Thanks for having us Anna and we will definitely be back! Thank you Hannah as well for accompanying me and for keeping me sane on the 4 hour train rides!

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Durham or if you have ever done anything similar and gone to see friends at their universities πŸ™‚

Copenhagen 2017

Copenhagen 2017

On the 10th of October 2017 my flatmate Su knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to go to Copenhagen for the weekend at some point in November- because I have a Monday and a Friday off this term I immediately said yes! Within an hour it was all booked up for the weekend of the 3rd- 6th of November πŸ™‚

On the 3rd we had to wake up super early because we had a flight from Stanstead Airport at 8.45am so we had to leave our flat at 5.30am 😦 We got the tube to Liverpool Street, Stanstead express from Liverpool street to the airport, grabbed a Starbucks because the festive drinks had just come out and boarded the plane πŸ™‚

When we arrived in Copenhagen we bought metro tickets and headed to the AirBNB that we would be staying in for the next few days- the AirBNB was lovely and about as big as our 4 person flat in london!! We spoke to the host about what to do in Copenhagen and they said to make sure we went to a place called Tivoli which we had been led to believe was closed. After unpacking our suitcases we jumped back on the metro and headed to central copenhagen to find Tivoli Amusement Park πŸ™‚

We arrived at Tivoli, bought an unlimited ride pass and wow did we use it! We went on the carousel, the dragon boats, the astronomer, the star flyer, the galley ships, the mine, the monsoon, the bumper cars and the roller coaster. Our absolute favourite was the star flyer, although you were very high and being swung around therefore it was absolutely freezing the view was breathtaking and because the ride was set up so that it felt like you were flying on a broomstick my friend and I sung Defying Gravity at the tops of our voices whilst on the ride πŸ˜›

After all of the rides we grabbed some food and watched a light show on the river where the water would light up different colours and there were fireworks which was really cool πŸ™‚ Tivoli gardens was absolutely amazing and if you ever find yourself in Copenhagen I would highly recommend it although maybe not on the day you fly because by the time we finally crawled into bed at around Midnight we were absolutely shattered!!

The next day we had a lie in because we were both knackered from the day before but when we finally woke up we grabbed some breakfast and jumped on the metro towards NyHaven which was the most beautiful waterfront and street I had ever seen!! The houses were all gorgeous colours and Hans Christian Anderson lived in one of the houses which was really cool πŸ™‚

After looking around Nyhaven we decided it was time for a very late lunch so we went to this lovely restaurant called Geist which I would highly reccomend if you are ever in Copenhagen and has the most AMAZING candyfloss which looked like a cloud!

After lunch we walked for around half an hour stopping to shop and have a look around and finally came across the famous Little Mermaid from the Hans Christian anderson fairytale. It was a lot smaller than you would think but was still really cool to see πŸ™‚

After the Little Mermaid statue we headed back to our AirBnB and ended up cooking dinner there and then watched a sing along version of Pitch Perfect :p

On our last full day in Copenhagen we got up, had breakfast and then headed off to an area of Copenhagen called Norreport which has cool shopping, museums and a castle!! Our first stop was the Rosenborg castle which was absolutely beautiful πŸ™‚ We then did some shopping and walked along to the National Museums which includes a zooological and geological museum and the botanical gardens πŸ™‚

After the museums we then went to a food market which was really cool and had a delicious Duck sandwich for dinner and then it was time to head back to the AirBnb.

Our final day was spent packing in the morning and then we headed to another Copenhagen castle called the Christiansborg Palace after which it was time to head to the airport for our flight home 😦

Overall I absolutely loved my time in Copenhagen and I had such a blast πŸ™‚ I’m so happy I said yes when my flatmate knocked on my door a month ago and it’s an experience I will never forget πŸ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Copenhagen or if this post has inspired you to go πŸ™‚

Halloween 2017Β

Halloween 2017Β

Halloween over the past few years has become one of my favourite holidays and it lasts for the entire month of October πŸ™‚ I even changed my phone wallpaper and had many a pumpkin spice latte ❀

Before one of my many Halloween movie nights I went out to buy some popcorn because you can’t have a movie night without popcorn!! I went to my local Sainsburys and I found some AMAZING halloween decorations so had to buy a few πŸ™‚

The weekend before Halloween I went home to see my family and ended up carving a pumpkin which is something I try to do every year πŸ™‚ This year I decided to carve my pumpkin like The Oogie Boogie Man from The Nightmare Before Christmas ❀

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

One of the main reasons I love halloween is because of the lush products- every year lush outdo themselves with their seasonal releases and this year was no exception. They bought back some favourites including the sparkly pumpkin but there were also a few new releases this year including the Bewitched bubble bar πŸ™‚

Starbucks Fall drinks are always so amazing and I always make sure to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte at least a few times during the month of October πŸ™‚ There are quite a few different fall drinks this year including the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino and the Vampire Frappuccino.

When I visited New York earlier this year I managed to get my hands on some Bath and Body works candles and absolutely fell in love with them so this year I decided that I would try and get hold of some Bath and Body Works seasonal candles. I looked up some reviews and these three seemed like a good choice πŸ™‚ I absolutely love Sweater Weather and I think it might be my favourite candle- after Winter Candy Apple ofc!! I will definitely be reordering these candles if they come back next year alongside a few more πŸ™‚

I really hate Horror movies so I try and stay away from some of the more traditional Halloween movies- this year I had 3 different Halloween movie nights because I had uni till quite late so couldn’t finish them all in one night πŸ™‚ I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus on the first night, Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania 2 on the second night and then finally The Addams Family and Rocky horror on the last night πŸ™‚

Overall Halloween 2017 has been a blast and I can’t wait to see what next year brings!!Β Let me know in the comments what you got up to this Halloween ❀
