SITC 2017

Last year I went to Summer in the City at the Excel Centre in London for the first time and I loved it so much that I decided to go again this year 🙂 Summer in the City is a massive youtube event where you can meet Youtubers, go to panels, see performances and have lots of fun 🙂

From my house it takes about 1 1/2 hours and involves a train, two tubes and the DLR so I had to get up super early on the Saturday to go and meet my friend at 11 🙂 Whilst waiting for my friend at the station I spotted the Mandeville sisters so decided that I would go up and say hi because the DLR wasn’t due for another 10 minutes 🙂 I met the Mandeville sisters last year at SITC and they were both so lovely and we had a really nice chat ❤

The first thing I did when actually I got to Summer in the City was go straight to my first meet and greet with Eva Gutowski aka MyLifeAsEva who was so nice 🙂 She had a chat with everyone and took ages doing lots of different poses for photos 🙂

After meeting Eva I went out into the main area where there were rides, merch stands and a mcflurry truck! I had a wander round and saw that Bethan Leadley was at her merch table 🙂 I have met Bethan a few times and she is so genuine and always has time for fans so I thought I would go and say hi and pick up a poster 🙂 I’m loving her new single and her pink hair is so cool!

After meeting Bethan I wandered even further along the merch tables and spotted Sophie Foster who I met before 2 years ago so I wanted to meet her again to say hi and take a comparison photo 🙂 She was so funny and looked absolutely gorgeous!

After having a chat with Sophie I had to rush off to my scheduled Meet and Greet with Hannah Witton and Lucy Moon- the queue was really long but it was worth it 🙂 They were both hilarious, had a chat with everyone and Lucy had similar shoes to me although she wasn’t wearing hers 😛

After all the meet and greets it was time for some lunch as by this time I was really hungry! I actually went to get lunch with a girl called Molly who I met in the line for Hannah and Lucy 🙂 We then wandered around the main area taking a few photos and then went off to get a free Mcflurry and went to eat it by the main stage which is where I stayed for the rest of the evening 🙂 My phone died whilst eating lunch so unfortunately I don’t have any photos from after the meet and greets 😦

The Sunday of SITC is generally a lot more chill, there are less people and because I didn’t have any scheduled meet and greets I thought I would spend the day wandering around the main area, taking photos and buying merch 🙂 The first thing I did was go along to the SITC 2017 sign and take some photos 🙂

I then went along to the TenEighty stand because Hannah Witton was signing magazines 🙂 I got her to sign a magazine for me and took a selfie because why not 😛

After seeing Hannah Witton again I went and bought some Merch from Dodie Clark and the official SITC stand and then went for some lunch 🙂

The first thing you saw as you walked into the main area of SITC was a massive youtube sign- it had a massive queue to take photos in front of it for most of the weekend but after lunch there was a relatively short queue so I decided to grab and photo and then went past the really cool Insta wall! There were colourful balloons and a swing which you could take photos with but due to a lack of time and a long queue I didn’t get a photo with it 😦

Finally before we left we walked passed the Penguin books stand where they were giving away goodie bags and had lots of book you could buy 🙂 I decided to buy a book called One of us is lying and took a bookstagram with their books 🙂

Overall it was an amazing weekend that I will never forget and I’m so excited to return next year ❤

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Summer in the City or a similar event and what your experience was like 🙂

  1. Looks like an amazing event! I’ve never heard of it before, do you need to buy a ticket to go along? I’d love to visit next year! Xxxxxx
