Oxford 2017 :)

On the 18th of February 2017 my friend Hannah and I jumped on a train from London Paddington to Oxford ๐Ÿ™‚ When we arrived we bought a city sightseeing ticket which meant that we could hop on and off the bus when we wished ๐Ÿ™‚ Our first stop was the Alice Shop which sold lots of different amazing Alice merchandise ๐Ÿ™‚

After Alice’s shop we spotted Christ Church across the road so we went across to admire the amazing architecture!! Christ Church has such a fascinating history attached to it as well which was really interesting to learn ๐Ÿ™‚

Our next stop was Oxford Castle which was so beautiful!! The castle is 1000 years old and most of it was destroyed in the English Civil War so very little of the castle still stand today.

After wandering around the castle ruins we got extremely hungry so headed back to a cafe next to Alice’s Shop which advertised a Mad Hatters Tea Party and had an afternoon tea which was so delicious!!

Once we had filled up in lunch we wandered along the main highsteet in Oxford and walked to the bridge which had a gorgeous river flowing underneath ๐Ÿ™‚

Finally as both of us are avid readers we had to make a trip to the huge bookshop Blackwell walking past the Bodleian library on the way!!

Overall I fell in love with Oxford’s gorgeous architecture and would highly recommend taking a trip even if it’s out of ur way ๐Ÿ™‚ Whilst you are there you get the feeling that you have gone back in time to a much simpler time which is such an indescribable experience ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me know in the comments if you have ever been to Oxford and if you have what your favourite place was that you visited whilst you were there ๐Ÿ™‚
